Me too my parents use to always have pinochle games every weekend. And of course the record player would be on. I must of been 5 or 6. But I remember I felt so grown up because they would let me be in charge of changing records. It was Alabama, Sawyer Brown, George strait, Garth Brooks, Alan Jackson , Randy Travis. I'm sure I'm forgetting some. But I think the only rock they would play is Meatloaf and Elvis. LOL. I seen a bunch of country bands live back in the 80's and 90's. I saw Alabama twice. And they're as good live as on record. Seen Sawyer Brown. Randy Travis. My mom had MS. And she was a huge Randy Travis fan. Well he seen her at the end of the show up by the stage in her wheelchair. And next thing we know a security guard comes over and says Mr Travis would like you all to come back stage. He wants to meet you. I never seen my mom so Happy as that day. I couldn't believe he took the time to do that. He signed a bunch of pictures for her and some CDs. And left us take pictures. Sadly she died in 98 she was only 38 years old I was 18. But we buried most of the stuff he gave her with her. All I know is that country music today doesn't come anywhere close to what it was then. That was the greatest generation of country artist. And I don't think there will ever be anyone close again.

I play this song every night for my baby and think of her. Marcie and I had "Feels So Right by Alabama" for our wedding song and was one of our all time favorites to play while milling around the house. She went on to Eternity with our King Savior this past June of 2024. Through the grieving process I've learned and feel our soul's became as one the moment we met to became husband and wife. Marcie is very much apart of me, we're one in spirit together for Eternity. This is a audio book I've listened to and has given great Insight on what awaits us and perhaps you may find assurance as well. Intra Muros - Chapter 16-17 // Rebecca Ruter Springer (Audiobook) fast forward to time stamp 13:30 and listen from there. The full audio book is really good take time and listen to a chapter each day. Upload to your phone plug in the earbuds and enjoy. You'll see what I'm talking about, it's truly Amazing! kzbin.infoz5XPqPx7k78?si=QKGjv0DL8902ToQI

I remember walking into a record store in 1981 and this song was playing over the speakers. I went straight to the front desk and said "Who is singing this song". He said it's a new country group called Alabama. I asked him where I could find the album and he pointed me in the direction of the display with the album & cassette featured prominently. I grabbed one of each (the cassette for my car) and that's what started my love for this group. To this day I still play the album (the cassette didn't survive) and "Feels So Right" is mine & my sweetheart's (50+ yrs. together) song! We play it every Sunday and slow dance in the living room. Love, love, love Alabama!!

I saw them in the early 80’s at the Richmond Coliseum. It was February and an icy, cold night. Randy said ‘for everyone who came out on a night like this to see us, we’ll stay until everyone has an autograph’ . One of my favorite songs. Randy wrote it for his girlfriend when he was 17.
