This just was a bad matchup. Yes, their records were similar but Alabama could have been undefeated were it not for a few last second plays in the regular season. K-State is a good team and deserved to be in the Sugar Bowl, but Alabama was of CFP caliber.

We always beat Georgia when we're healthy. You said the same thing in December 2021 and Bama destroyed Georgia. Manhandle Georgia again in Jan 2022 until our other stud Receiver went down.

Just glad that it didn't turn into a two team from the BIG10 EAST DIVISION in the National title game. Just like the last national title game between two SEC vs SEC a rematch of the SEC Conference Championship game. If only the CFP was a real playoff format. Got excited that we won the Sugar Bowl for the first time under Saban that wasn’t a semifinal/NC win in stadium. About the win though, I mean this is what we’re supposed to do. Also…. If Bama brings out a “Cheetah package” ever again then I’ll know I’m in hell. Wasn’t a fan of the 2 DL/2 Edge rushers with a MLB as small a To’o To’o. Hoping Jihaad Campbell wins the other MLB spot opposite Lawson and we use Justin Jefferson on QB’s that can run or man2man in 4-2-5 ,dime, prevent etc etc… I’m thinking J. Miller is #2 along with Haynes taking R.Williams carries away.

Germaine Burton made a SMART BUSINESS decision.. Yeah he could have stayed at Georgia and won a few more titles or get the chance to possibly win titles and play for a future franchise NFL potential QB... PLENTY of NFL receivers that have never even sniffed a CFB national title. Burton is thinking about his long-term future .. great QB can make even above average receivers look like prodigies... Yes, to the program itself and expectations yes it's personal for the Crimson Tide and booked as a failure but that Alabamas business tho!! The rest of college football only wishes they were just as elite as Alabama or could accomplish what they have. Alabamas record is outstanding according to NCAA standard which is why it doesn't hurt Saban at all. Rather it's a national championship or not Alabama always brings a trophy home either it's the SEC or a Bowl Trophy or of course the natty. Truth is Saban has more elite wins then any other coach in college football history period!! And to accomplish what Nick Saban has did will take a long time to do!! Kirby Smart is the only coach so far that looks like he'll maybe get close but other than it's nobody that compares to Nick Saban or the Crimson Tide.
