that was just them covering their asses + protecting their egos. they'd already cuffed him, refused to release him after he'd been ID'd w| the help of his wife, AND taken him in. at that point they had to "justify" their arrest + refusal to release him despite lack of probable cause. the charges were their attempt at saying, "we promise we operated in good faith; this was not racial profiling." *spoiler: it **_was_** racial profiling.* the racial profiling was done by the neighbor; + the police were complicit. 911 is, afterall, just a customer service hotline for yt ppl.

@@TheDaveBringer You're right: LOOKING suspicious is NOT a crime. (Neither is NOT providing a believable I.D. to law enforcement personnel when asked for or requested to do so, NOT a crime either ((as far as I know)). HOWEVER, for the "billionth and 1st" time, when law enforcement personnel ARE CALLED to INVESTIGATE something suspicious, and they encounter even someone "helping a little old lady to cross the street", (( never mind "innocently" watering a neighbors flowers )), it MIGHT be a "crime" to express moral indignation or outrage over such a thing??🤣🤣 I suppose most commentators on here would be singing a much different tune if, say, the good pastor was instead the GRAND DRAGON of the Ku Klux Klan, and a neighbor called to report him as suspicious, the police showed up, asked for his I.D., was then told casually that he was "just watering the neighbors yard" and the police just said "Oh...OK...Sorry to bother you, have a good day", then proceeded to drive off, when what was REALLY happening is that Mr. "Grand Poobah" of the KKK, was serving as a LOOKOUT while he and an accomplice were going through the house looking for SEMI AUTOMATIC weapons that would eventually be used in some MASS SHOOTING??? In THAT case ^^^ most folks on here would be saying or perhaps even SCREAMING: "HOW COULD THOSE RESPONDING POLICE BE SO GULLIBLE AND ALLOW INNOCENT CHILDREN ((OR PATRONS OF A STORE)) TO BE INNOCENTLY MURDERED?!?' Then later on, a conspiracy theorist puts out information about such such an incident that says that what was reported about that shooting was a lie put out by the government itself, and is then taken to court and...... Oops, sorry about that...Got a little CARRIED AWAY there didn't I?? Bottom line? Believe or think whatever you want...Just try to keep your COMPLAINING down when what you believed or thought turns out to cause you much more problems because you actually believed BULLSHIT or just thought wrong.

Yes, the neighbour caused the situation - no doubt. But, if she meant him harm or wanted to cause him trouble, why would she come out and vouch for him to the police? That doesn't add up to me. If she was being malicious, why would she come out to try and protect him? The one and only reason I can think of is to look like a hero (y'know, like the guy who sets a fire then helps the fire brigade put it out). But, if she was trying to look like a hero then why would she admit, in front of the pastor, that she called the police? Doesn't make sense. I'd like to hear from her why she felt the need to call 911 in the first place before judging her, because her later actions don't fit the typical "Karen". Karens act scared and claim they don't know their victim, or claim their victim did something to them - they don't defend POC against the police.

Do you really want police officers writing the rules in the street or should the police follow all laws and procedures. The most disgusting part of this video is the idiot who could just have handed the police a driver's license and then went about watering the lawn. But, there is no money in that. "How can you allow that "N" to sit w you & be drinking w him?" Unbelievable... I told her exactly...."from here to there is MY free & clear property! This means I can entertain or do anything I please within the laws of GA...now your ignorant ass can leave MY property🤬 I choose my friends & you're not among them!!" Racism in the south, even in this very moment, will turn your head🤬 A free world🤔 those of name & privilege, especially in the deep south... Look to Paul & Nancy Pelosi as a perfect example🤑🤢🤮🤧

He was rightfully agitated as he was being harassed. No one takes his ID to go water their neighbour's plants, plus once again the law says he doesn't have to. This man and pastor was doing good, and a 'Karen' called the cops on him. She only had the courage to show up, after the cops did. 28 plus years in law enforcement and I see the lies being told by the police officers already. 1. you can unarrest a person, it's a matter of removing the handcuffs then writing a simple explanation in the police report articulating your actions. 2. you don't have to talk to police if you don't want to (unless you're being charged with a crime....only give name, dob and address).... you have the right to remain silent which is exactly what an attorney would advise you to do. 3. let's keep it real folks...... If the pastor was white and reacted in the same manner as the black pastor did, nothing would happen except the police would leave him alone after apologizing for the misunderstanding. It is police officers like these idiots who have no common sense or emotional intelligence that are responsible for the toxic/negative relationships between law enforcement and citizens/community today......

@Norah Elaine I used to work for Neiman Marcus as a sales person. High end department stores would send pictures of criminal gangs who would steal from their stores to other stores so that they would be on the look out. They were always 100% white. Anyway the loss prevention supervisor told me once that white women steal more than white men and all other races combined. So it was always strange to me that when black people would come into the store (especially if they did not look wealthy, whatever that means because the people who had the most didn't flaunt at all. their wives did the shopping) loss prevention would hit the floor and pretend to be shopping. Me and some of the other salesmen would laugh to ourselves and say You know those poorly dressed black people that just walked in or decoys. Not just because they were black but because every picture that I ever saw of the professional thieves that would hit Neiman they were white and they were very well dressed. to send a poorly dressed black person says that they knew that loss prevention was probably racist and stupid.

I hope this police department has the sense to wipe this off his record, launch a formal apology and change their policy on interceding when people call and NO CRIME is being committed, maybe even hold a community forum or two to *listen* to the people they're supposed to be protecting before deciding on new procedures. They could be using that as an excuse but their real intention could be to scope the place out to rob. Cops dont know this man knows the owner or he was given permission. Ppl are very closed minded and don't think with an open mind of both sides. All he had to do was show his id and the police would have appologized and that's that. But instead this man got all dramatic when it has nothing to do with black or white. Ppl just like to play the race card whenever it is a black person so they look like more the victim. Facts 👍

>Well, you know....people often go to some random a person's home and water plants. It's an epidemic! Or maybe they are inspecting the house to see if they can enter to steal something and use the '' I'm watering plants '' as a cover. ''she knew and friends of the people who owned the home and they still don't let him go? '' They let him go, they just wrote him a ticket for police obstructing which was later dropped at court. ''This entire issue of cops demanding ID and thinking and acting as if every citizen has to do exactly what they say is a very big problem!'' There is a literal law in Alabama which forces people to identify themselves when the cops asks them to. And no saying '' I'm the local pastor'', doesn't count as identifying. I know you americans are ''special'', so for your information, identifying yourself means giving your full name and surname.

I actually live in Alabama. I’m a black Brazilian and I spent most of my life in Huntsville Alabama. I actually was washing my car one night at a hand washing car wash and cop did the same but he didn’t arrest me. My dad always told me if I ever get pulled over or have to deal with cop related things to call him, no matter how old I am. So I did and the cop felt “threatened” because I called my dad and we were speaking in our native language. I don’t have nothing against cops but things like this have been happening for too long not just in America but everywhere in the world.

It’s racial profiling. White men think all Black men in America are drug dealers, have warrants, have a lengthy criminal record, or all of the above. Alarm bells went off because you have a nice car. Here's my biggest thing, there was zero investigation done. They had no idea what was actually reported or who reported it and simply chose to proceed with almost no information. While I do believe this was racially motivated, it is also a matter of cops simply being lazy and willing to put themselves in situations with almost zero knowledge, but high on their own authority and pride.
