He put us in position to win the natty his freshman year. Then the greatest defense anyone has ever seen could not stop deshaun watson. And THEN he had to deal with like 5 coaching and coordinator turnovers. He is one of my favorite players all time. His story is incredible and hes so badass and cool. Hope he has an amazing nfl career

SEC freshman of the year in 2016. He actually fell off in 2017 with Daboll as OC/QB coach who he just destroyed last Sunday. Payback achieved
@niss2142 Жыл бұрын
That's not a fair assessment. Bama had Tua, and he was just better. Jalen did very well for himself, leaving for Oklahoma. He sharpened his skills and put in the work. An attitude instilled by his dad and Saban. Has nothing to do with payback. I've never heard or seen Jalen express any bitterness about anything he has gone through.

People foget how great he was at bama his freshman year
@demarcobrooks48627 жыл бұрын
Dang near everyone talking about Tua replacing Jalen and don't get me wrong I'm ALL FOR Tua being GREAT at BAMA, but being the STARTING QB WINNING 14 STRAIGHT GAMES, having an AWESOME WORK ETHIC, gaining the ULTIMATE EXPERIENCE in losing a PERFECT SEASON by ONE TOUCHDOWN in the NATTY, ALL WHILE BEING A DAM FRESHMAN?! All I can say is watch Jalen Hurts on A-Day and against FSU. He lost with pride and you heard in the interview......sophomore season starts tomorrow AFTER THE NATTY. Let's hope Brian Daboll push him farther. HE IS NOT GONNA PHUCK AROUND. ROLL PHREAKING TIDE!!!!!!!!
@tiderbean7 жыл бұрын
DeMarco Brooks I've absolutely become fed up with fucking bandwagon fans. All they did was bitch and gripe that Hurts lost the NC. Here are the facts..he got the damn lead back with a tiny bit over 2 minutes left. There's 2 full sets of 11 men that we had on defense and (I'll say it again) 2 FUCKING TIMEOUTS TO ROTATE IF CLEMSON WAS NOT SUBBING!! When you're known for defense, Watson or not, you find a way to win. The defense lost that game in the end and fuck off with that fatigue bullshit.
@demarcobrooks48627 жыл бұрын
Rob Roy It was a team effort. However, I disagree with you about the defense. Dabo said himself he wanted the offense to play at least 80 plays and got off 99. Shannon Sharpe on Undisputed explained in great detail. The offense went 3 out many times, but I'm not faulting Jalen. This dude may not have had a great year passing, but that 17-YEAR-OLD carried that team ALL THE WAY TO THE NATTY. What I saw in A-Day with his deep balls were astonishing and he still has more time to improve. Can't wait for the season opener. RTR!!!!!!!
@tiderbean7 жыл бұрын
DeMarco Brooks while maybe you're not directly attributing that pathetic last drive to Hurts in the 3rd qtr directly, it's still bullshit argument. Bama has played numerous games over the years where they absolutely sucked on offense but still found a way to win at the end. Hell, that's always been the bread butter was defense. We're talking one drive, 2 timeouts and 22 fucking starters to rotate in and out on those 2 timeouts when Clemson was not subbing. While I'm not proud of saying this...Saban fucked it up by mainly not using the timeouts. I'm observant enough to notice that. It's just too bad others cannot as well. RTR!! Fyi I was at A Day and there should litterly be no issues with qb. The best problem Bama has probably ever had. Jalen is still the guy though hands down.
@demarcobrooks48627 жыл бұрын
All I'll say is we'll see what happens this year. Can't wait. Jalen's hungry.
@demarcobrooks48627 жыл бұрын
It was the away games starting with Arkansas that determined whether Jalen would crack become even better and he prevailed. Next thing I know. He runs the ONLY touchdown with LSU and I saw an even more developed QB playing against Florida, then Washington and finally Clemson. There aren't that many freshman to do what Jalen did......at least at the age of 17 which he dam sure didn't look to be last season. I feel sorry for FSU. To have so much time off to develop even more, we're in for something this upcoming season.
@MAlley-fm4et3 жыл бұрын
I find it funny people say he can't pass the ball. I challenge anybody that says that to go look up recordd in the Alabama record book. How many interceptions did he have? How many yards he passed for at Alabama in 2 years and after Tua took over? (Note, Alabama was mostly a running team. Then, they started passing. Then, add Oklahoma.)

Jalen's Freshman year, Alabama's defense, Tony Brown could not cover Hunter Renfrow, he let Alabama down. If only Alabama hadn't lost Eddie Jackson and Saun Deion Hamilton to injuries.

@tiderbean7 жыл бұрын
Jacob Tate carrying the ball better? He had Iike 14 rushing tds which is almost a td per game. I don't know Stabler's stats in a season off hand but he may have broke that. But for the record, he didn't lose that nc.. defense did.
@alecmadsen92336 жыл бұрын
that's a lot to ask a defense to defend a 2 minute drill that Clemson probably practiced a million times before this game. Although i think if they score a little slower they win the game. Could have slid at the 1st down but if you see the end-zone always take the points.
