Matt and Johnny replace a bad fuel pump in an auto parts store parking lot and then meet up with Bob Dunn to do some heavy dismantling and parts swapping.

Question: I just bought a 98 Honda Passport & looks like it needs a fuel sending unit. Is that accessible from the top or do you have to drop the tank?

I did mine by dropping tank - took about 4 hours total. Wasn't that difficult. Fuel pump actually was OK - an o-ring between pump and fuel line connection was cracked. New fuel pump kit did away with that type connection - had piece of fuel line hose and clamps. (The fuel hose is special type that is made to not disintegrate when completely submerged in gasoline - is important. ) An afterthought: I could've installed 2 pumps - have 2nd one rigged as a backup. Just passing along idea. Pump cost $40 - Bosch brand. Your comment 2 months old - probably done fixed yours by now.
