Great as always. Brooks, what is the deal with Booker looking back and then hitting the center, like a signal for the snap? Thanks

16:12 that looks instinctive. You launch off the line, hold a little speed back, then as the DB is turning you launch with all your effort and create separation That’s my guess

Does anybody remember the early twitter days where Brooks was like a project manager or something? That profile pic with the white shirt giving takes and gifs on games? I haven't used Twitter in like 6 years and I still remember it vividly. Can't imagine it's grown to this. Bless up and continued success because nobody does it like you do.

Film Guy is so good at this he's got me thinking I need to go ahead and apply for coaching jobs. The next snap I play in football would be the first, but I think I know everything now... Well, until I watch footage on my own and try to replicate what he does. Then I'm all... "Hey. Here's the quarterback. No. That's the umpire. Here's the linebacker. Now. Watch the safety. Wait. Who's playing? Okay. There. First down. No. Sacked. See? Boom. Watch No. 32. Run stunt lunge bazzle. Okay. Yeah. 32 is over on the bench. Yep. False start. Okay. Next play."

5:00 I just noticed the left guard is looking under his legs before the snap, and Milroe hitches his legs, then his taps the center's shoulder to signal the snap. So that's how they neutralized the crowd noise.

30:45 That LSU defender #8 reminded me of the time I watched Cam Newton playing for the Carolina Panthers. I forgot who they were playing against but, one play Cam lost the ball. The defender came from his blind side and caused Newton to loose the ball. It was a fumble. Anyways as soon as it happened, Cam could've easily run and fallen on the ball. Instead he ran close to it, than he backed away from it?

@superbear6172 күн бұрын
Excellent! That offensive line is a collective BEAST. BTW, I notice on every play, just before the snap, Alabama's left guard (52) moves his right arm to touch the Center. Is that illegal motion, or ???? or if LSU jumped across off-side, would they be considered drawn off by 52? Kinda strange, to my eye, anyway.

I just want to ask why Mr. Austin Brooks isn't coaching anyone??? You'd be a sure thing with any college team, and I suspect that one day you'll be on the sidelines as a coordinator or HC! Great film study, and I watch all the live shows as well.
@TheFilmGuyNetwork2 күн бұрын
I think in another life, I'm coaching football somewhere. But when I got done with ball, I was done with football. For a while. Got really burnt out as a player. I fell into the sucesses I've had as a media personality through a lot of hard work, and some obvious talents. But maybe one day I'll get back into the arena. As for now, we live a really good life and I enjoy educating the audience no different than educating a room full of football players. It's all teaching and communicating. I'm scratching the itch in a different way I guess.
@Fulcrum2052 күн бұрын
Because coaching ball anywhere above the Junior high level eats up your life. It's really tough to have a family and put in the kind of hours the job demands.

Watch most of your work. Really enjoy it. Question: I don’t understand why- if Bama’s I-line is elite, why can we do nothing with our halfbacks (16&22)? Are they the problem? One would think the fear of #4 running would open countless opportunities for them. Yet, it doesn’t What’s your take?

Can someone explain why 52 hits the center with his hand sometimes before the play?
@TheFilmGuyNetwork21 сағат бұрын
He's telling the center that the QB is ready for the snap. If you notice the guard is looking back. It's so the center can keep his eyes up and get things clean.

This channel is spoiling me. Going back to the talking head drama nonsense is just painful now. It's like torture listening to the cliché talking points or fan service of ESPN/ fan dedicated channels. No I don't want to hear about how this team is "undisciplined" or "out coached" the other team. What does that even mean? Explain it. That's what this channel does.

@@TheFilmGuyNetwork The fact that this channel isn't over 100k subs is a black mark on college football fans in general. I hope that this channel and all your social media grows as huge as possible. I have my own selfish reasons. You can't do this stuff for free. Not at this type of quality anyway. If y'all can't make money you won't do this and I just can't go back to ESPN. That would make college football a lot less enjoyable.

...and Milroe gets by vs a substandard SEC defense, and everybody is awe struck, are you getting paid by the same sponsors as Milroe? He can't maintain pocket presence to complete meaningful passes vs sub-standard defenses. So, just run the ball and it will work. All Mercer has to do is assign a LB to his hip and it's done. That's one problem. The second problem is, he folds under pressure. The third problem is, Wommack is now a defensive genius for getting over on a substandard O line. The DC was the reason for a near loss to SC and loses to UT and Vandy; think about it, we lost to the Commode-doors, there is no way in the Wide-World-of-Sports that we should be in the top ten.
