I really enjoyed BOTH bands, but I'm biased toward ASU, because my son is a MMH and the director was my director, when I was in college!! JSU was BIG MAD, because they probably thought MMH was gonna go out like some chumps!! NOPE!!!! Great job, Hornets!! Shout out to the percussion section leader, Pooter Golden! You’re right. JSU was angry as hell, I said the same thing after watching how their tubas were acting after the 5th quarter. They were so bothered and all rilled up. Lol. The energy at this game had to be amazing, I knew I shouldn’t have missed it honestly!

Both bands were good....While JSU has more members, ASU's selection was better and music much more refined.

@@jeremyjevans2010 What's does updating a book have to do with good sounding musical arrangements... It is very clear that you are just an spectator... Both bands played a variety of classic and current songs within their books.😉

@@dto1270 everything evolves my friend!! granted they play new and old songs, the style of play, JSU exhibited is not representative of new age big band sound in the SWAC(SU,JSU, maybe TSU). I may be a spectator, but I watched both bands play for over 20 years. I'm almost positive I attended more SWAC games, and events than you.

Great job by both bands.... JSU has more members so of course their sound was much louder. But I honestly think they both did an Amazing job! :)
