This looks far more appealing than that Disney Disney live-action wreck with Will Smith. If only someone would produce current movies that look like this- 1940s and 50s CinemaScope and Technicolor.

I could see this as a real movie. It could be similar to “ Thief of Baghdad” and “ The 7th Voyage of Sinbad”.

What did you think "Thief of Baghdad" was?! Find the scene when Jaffar meets the Sultan! Bot character designs were almost copied into the animated Aladdin.

@@zvimur I’ve noticed that when I watched the movie a few days ago. “ Thief of Baghdad “ wasn’t a direct adaptation of “ Aladdin’s Magical Lamp” but was instead a remake of a 1924 movie of the same name based around the stories told in “ 1,001 Arabian Nights”.

@@jfk1000 yes... but the Fairbanks 1924 movie was a creature of its own. No Prince, for example, and Fairbanks is a repetition of his pirate movies.

Vincent Price was in the 1950s- " The Ten Commandments " , with of all people- Edward G. Robinson. Neither of them were Arabic. Yul Brenner ( who played The Pharaoh) looked and sounded like he belonged there. Besides, with A I, you'll eventually be able to bring them back to life ( virtually).
