Aladdin Blue Flame Finally Complete

Thanks to our good friend Will Gwiadzowski , he really made my day by offering the last part of this Aladdin Blue Flame Heater.
These vintage kerosene heaters are one of the most famentastic heaters that money can buy. I have had this heater for a few years now and have been missing parts and will finally made this unit complete.
Don't know how the top of the heater ever was lost, but that is the way I found it.
Right away I was able to see that my makeshift do it yourself Pie plate top or cap was not effective at all. This heater must have its original top for it to perform correctly.

Any that's the truth? Sometimes I just come out here firing for laner and then just sit and look at it. I don't think that's normal but it's what I do. I suppose we should define normal.

Bingo I have 2 of the 525 models but only fire them up if it gets in the single digits here I just keep my propane heater thermostat set at 60 and in the morning's fire up a radiant 36 kerosun for about 3hrs

Cool old heater. When you were disassembling the fuel gauge I was saying to myself, “that doesn’t seem like you’d do that to refuel it.” Then you found the fuel cap. 😂

Yes... haaahaa turned out ok as it was hazy , it's mee a long week here , turned out ok , yes I woukd recommend playing with it, that would have really been sad zip I broke on of the probes . I'm fixing to plat with it all weekend. Thank you Friend

Totally awesome heater Steve ! Never seen one in person before , can see now how the modern kerosene heaters were based on that . The wicks in the modern ones don’t like water , so be careful cooking on them . Not sure about the old ones . Kerosene was so popular here for a long time , it was very cheap . No gas stations have a pump anymore for kerosene. Hope you have fun on Sunday

Glad you're feeling better my buddy . I actually got a new titanium folding stove today but got tied up and didn't get a chance to fire it up , I think I broke a law with that on a Friday lol. That's the first I've seen a Aladdin Blue Frame , that is neat If I was going to name the colour of that lamp I'd call it Plessy Green that use to make Rurax and CDO Telephone switches and English company so could be British made. That fuel Guage was neat, it was neat to look in the window in the chimney and see the flame. Hope you have an awesome weekend my friend.

That k1 is pretty high in my area 25$ for that same 2.5 gallon jug you have there at my local farm ranch store. They had the 5 gallon cans until 2 weeks ago for 43$ but sold out So far this winter 900$ Propane and 37.5 gallons of K1

Yes Jeff it is STUPID $$$$$$ i actually bought about 20 gallons from Walmart. A couple of years ago at a really good deal. So i'm pretty set for a little while, but to replace it now would be way too much.
