But actually it takes a very brave heart not to give in to all the dirt. She could have left Aladdin behind, she could have joined Jafar, she needn't be the Sultan. There are women who are ready to fall to any level when it comes to power and pleasure. People compromise, cheat. Even in relationships. But she didn't, she stood against him till the last moment. Standing itself is a big thing. And as a girl I am proud to see that. But yeah I would have loved to see more action from her side too. Overall an inspiring song for me, one of my favorites.

I just love how determined she sounds, and this intense eye contact she keeps through the whole thing, as if she is about to destroy everyone who stands in her way. And when she looks at her father, frozen and helpless - how her face gets kind and voice slightly trembles, so unnoticed but it's a nice touch cause you can feel her love and compassion. Her eyes say literally everything, they sparkle with almost tears, pure emotions, I get goosebumps everytime I watch this video. Naomi gives everything in this song! I've always loved the animated movie, Aladdin is an all time fav, but the movie version is definitely way better and this amazing woman is why. Not just because she is so increadably tallented, but also because of the way Jasmine is in the movie. So strong, so powerful, set in her ways, refusing to just be another woman sitiing by her mans side! Amazing!

I watched this movie in the theaters when it came out... And the first time I saw this scene it kind of had tge power to make me feel determined and I was hooked to this song and her expressions were fabulous! Its now and will always be one of those inspiring and uplifting songs Ive heard that makes me feel strong as a woman❤

Alright, I'm just gonna say it: Naomi Scott is ABSOLUTELY PERFECT as Jasmine. In the original movie she was a strong and independent princess who didn't want to get married for the wrong reasons. So glad that they gave her a song in this movie and Naomi does it so perfectly. She manages to be strong and vulnerable at the same time. Strong when she faces Jafar and vulnerable seeing her father like that.
