Delightful story, characters come to life and become as friends. I’ve been temporarily disabled, and have had three surgeries in the past year and a half, with one to go. Discovery of KZbin audiobooks has saved me as I go about healing and therapy. Instead of frustration, I find peace and joy as I’m limited physically with needlework and handcrafts now. So, so, so, so, so....... lovely, entrancing, heartwarming, captivating. The Narrator got the hero's voice so splendidly (for the 2nd time). Some amusing bits here and there. I loved it when she said "would you like to sit down", he said "I would like to ....."!! What a reply.

Wonderful, heartwarming story!!! Most of all, I am so glad I found an audiobook that is truly clean. In my opinion, many “clean” audiobooks get too steamy, blurring the line between clean and explicit.

Well Jennie how many nasty people can you fit into one story? Lady Harridan the cruel demanding crone; Moriah the malicious gossip; Lord Harridan the rakish sleaze; Rebecca the rebellious entitled brat; Downing the cruel humiliating mocker determined to keep destroying her reputation. What is very interesting is that their cruelty is exactly what pushes Sir Lucius closer to her bringing out his protective instincts. And I am very proud of Phillippa for giving Downing the cut direct and George coming to her aid. The cruel treatment of Selina gave me chills but Lucius steady pursuit made me sigh happily. Thank you for this lovely journey.

No, unfortunately. She married under a cloud of disgrace because they eloped, and you see her again in the sequel. But then again, she really didn't want to be redeemed. I think only in Philippa Holds Court. I don't think she's in The Sport of Matchmaking.

Loving your books. There was one where I was like "eh", but I am very glad I tried your other books. Well, written, lots of atmosphere and more importantly, clean. The narrator is excellent too, but she does mispronounce words like phaeton. ("feeton" instead of fey-ton)

I feel anger in the fact that men in this society, even among friends and at friend’s homes, are not trustworthy with women. And that young women are just as at danger as they are dangerous to decente men. Disgusted that such society settled the rules is civilized society everywhere they arrived.

I know. Me too. I don't always hide the cruel realities of the world in my books, but I do try to bring hope and good resolution despite it all. I think hope is what we all need.

It is a contradiction, she is afraid of her reputation at the end of the story yet her reputation is supposed to completely be damaged, so much so that she feels she can't marry the man she loves. The whole thing is ridiculous. She sounds like she's insane when she expresses her reasons for why she doesn't want to marry him.
