I honestly believe Alain de Botton is the MOST intelligent person currently living on the planet. His social and emotional intelligence is just incredible. He is a true role model.

I think Alain is one of the most intelligent people I have ever come across!!! He is not just a clever man you can see that his intelligence & view of the world is brilliantly balanced and amazingly objective!!!!

Now that I've found you, Alain de Botton, I can't live without you. You help me to cope with the dark clouds of life. Thank you :)

Amazing interview! I would like to see more of them. Good advice for the people in the beginning of a relationship that is starting to go wrong. But there are also in my opinion relationships that can´t be saved anymore, when people forget the reasons they were mad at eachother, after years of going cold, it is better to pack that suitcase...

i love listening to Alain give his thoughts on relationships and i really enjoyed this interview the angles and camera quality, but the "mm--mm...mm... yeah" started to get annoying and I couldn't focus on what Alain was saying.
Alain de Botton is the sexiest man alive. Nothing, absolutely nothing beats intelligence!

"mmm" "yeah " "yeah" hmm" "yeam" - Alain speaking precious insights and the interviewer so unaware...

He's my favourite author - I was starstruck. My problem was that I was *too* aware.

@@SamuelLeightonDore you did well, probably best not to interrupt while he is answering your questions. You let him speak and got your answers while providing positive enforcement and actively listening. Good job overall.

Background noise spoiled this. Is this an after lunch interview 2 yards from a busy kitchen?

Is anyone else uncomfortable with how the interviewer is dreamily gazing at Alain... lol.

Love without halo effect or mystery is formulaic; isn't love/relationships held up by just this? I can't imagine a formulaic/pragmatic relationship

The 18 month thing. What was he saying? People break up after 18 months? Exs get in contact after 18 months?
@RustyShacklification5 жыл бұрын
couples breaking up, or at least the interviewer's relationships usually seem to end at the 18 month mark he's noticed.
