Alain Roux is Michel Roux Sr son, Michel Roux Jr is Albert Roux son. so making them cousins. i guess people get confused cos Michel Roux Jr named after his uncle.

+Simone Rose Yes it confused me for quite a while. People put the name Jr. when it's the son, to avoid confusion with the father. Naming your son after your brother (in-law) is not very usual, I'm sure.
