That makes sense to me. I loved Alan Parsons Project and I loved Pink Floyd's Dark Side of The Moon, not as much as Pink Floyd's other stuff. Don't get me wrong I like Pink Floyd but I loved Dark side of the moon.

Correction, The Engineer...and actually, he was actually also the executive producer, but had to sign a NDA of sorts to remove individual credit, so it will go to 'the band'.

@@caroleann_2142 I had them all, across many different formats, but gave them away after I went digital in 1988. The vinyl albums were priceless to me, but they became so much excess baggage that I could no longer drag them around. I let my friends and extended family choose some for their collections. I still donated over a thousand to a few Used Records/Book Stores throughout the Tidewater Virginia area before I left in the mid 90's. "Old and Wise" and "Days are Numbers (The Traveler)" have kept me company through many decades and across four continents.

@@jamestaylor2920 - Ripped mp3's, shipped 600lbs of mostly vinyl (and a couple of hundred CD's) to my nephew. I have all of them on my phone and the Kindle.
@jamestaylor2920
@jamestaylor2920 2 жыл бұрын
@@billkant849 make sure that you have them backed up in multiple locations and on different mediums. Understand that no medium is 100% safe for the rest of your life. Yearly burn a set of DVDs (each will hold over 2,000 songs on average). Flash Drives, Solid State Drives, and SDXC Memory cards are not meant for long term storage of digital music files. Given the number of bits contained in 20,000 digital music files, the likelihood of file degradation approaches certainty at one year. The problem is that they are not shielded from electromagnetic flux. It is a hidden time bomb slowly spreading through your digital files until you happen to play one only to find it corrupted. I also do not recommend Cloud Storage for long term storage. You never know where the files are located or who has access. You have no control over the servers and the company can drop their Cloud Storage Solution with little to no notice to you. I recommend external Hard Disk Drives and annual sets of DVDs. Rip your new CD into your computer's SSD/HDD, copy the new files to your portable devices, connect the External HDD to the computer, copy the new files to the External HDD, disconnect the External HDD and return it to the original box, store the HDD box in a temperature & humidity controlled environment until the next time you acquire new music.

Sound makers in this song were Lenny Zakatek, David Paton, Ian Bairnson, Stuart Elliott and Eric Woolfson himself (Vocals, Bass, Guitar, Drums, Keys). Alan Parsons were only the engineer. .

The synth you mention is actually a tape loop they played along to, used similar to a click track or metronome. They later choose to leave it in the song, a trick they used on multiple songs. FYI - the band on this album, plus the keyboardist from previous albums are the backing band for Kate Bush's first album.

I was just talking to a relative about five minutes before I watched this (my first one today) about how I always felt my parents only stayed together for the sake of their kids (me and my brother). In fact, my father announced to my family at the supper table on the night of my high school graduation (my brother graduated a year earlier) that he was leaving us because of an affair he was having with another woman (whom he eventually married and stayed married to for 36 years before he died. The relative had to leave the call, so I come over to my laptop, log onto KZbin, and this is the first video reaction I saw. I think it was meant to be and you hit the nail on the head as to what it's about. You have the most insightful of all the reactions among those who do this, and I always look for yours first. Keep up the great reviews :)

Fantastic to watch you listen to this Henry! For me... This album is not about playing cards, or go gambling around... But actually it's about life, any sentence is about to leave this life after playng this life with much loyalty you can! The turn of the friendly card is just how easy can be to failed along your path of life when the destiny can change so suddenly... Life is absolutely a friendly card but just put attention about it because life changes and anyway it ends...
