I agree with Stephen Dawe. When I read Coogan's autobiography, _Easily Distracted,_ it was pure Partridge all the way through. I found myself repeatedly referring back to the front cover to check whether I was reading Coogan or Partridge. I have to say, after I had completed the book, (which was quite a trial in itself), that the front cover is just plain misleading.

I love that theres a history to the character of Alan Partridge that makes it even funnier when you know it. It makes him feel like a real person. When he comes out and shouts "Aha!" and get cheers and applause in front of the audience, you can see how hungry he is for that fame.
