Simon Pegg is the best example of a celeb who didn't let fame get to his head, I met him backstage at a Coldplay concert in 2015, I was 14/15 at the time, nicest guy, super genuine and just lovely to be around.

Hes probably up there, of the famous comedians. But there are many great writers, actors, etc. John Cleese is always at the top, and Oscar Wilde isnt far behind. After that youve got writers from Graham Chapman and the other Pythons, through Richard Curtis to Richard Ayoade. Atkinson, John Sullivan, Gervaise and Merchant, and others. With panel show improv theres Paul Merton and wit world champion Lee Mack. Even David Mitchell is doing great work. Some might even say Charlie Chaplin or Spike Milligan or Laurel and Hardy for their influence, Peter Cook and Dudley Moore, Eric Morcambe, or comedy film writers and actors. And thats just some of the famous ones. He's excellent, but this is the best comedy nation in the western world. Saying hes the best ever is a big statement. Just writing out of respect to English culture.
