I was a ceramics student at the Canberra School of Art from 1974-76 (approx) and I remember the incredibly talented Alan and his amazingly creative pieces. He wasn't my teacher unfortunately but I noticed Alan was always at the school working on his own pieces. I was saddened today when I realized he had died and was wondering what he died from, he would have only been in his seventies I think. No doubt he is sorely missed by many. John Simpson
