I have been dealing with lowkey insomnia for awhile now and when I do fall asleep I often have nightmares. His voice has helped me fall asleep easier and the nightmares are not as frequent now and I can't express my gratitude to him, and the people who've uploaded this video and the other videos of him reading.

I didn't become really aware of him till he was gone 4 yrs, then found such a connection l could have been married to him in the right circumstance. I find Thomas Hardy's prose (at least in this novel) to be a little too convoluted and strained. It seems to belong to the early 19th century... It's funny really because I was given the impression that Hardy's prose is *down-to-earth and simple* and an example of a "modern novel" - even if also deep and profound. I personally find it too contrived. Perhaps his other novels are different....
