@@AndreiDimaReviews Funnily enough, Schaller hates presets! He says every shot is different so different settings are needed. But not everyone can be an expert so I'll stick to your preset. One question, though. I have an X PRO 2 and it's custom setting menu doesn't include some of the settings you mentioned. I'm using the latest firmware version so maybe new Fujis have been updated but not old ones - as with Film Simulations.

I love your recipe and Alan Schaller is a favorite of mine. I own the Fuji XT3 and some of the settings like clarity is not present, any workaround or does it really matter. Also, do you spot meter on the highlight and use back bottom focus and shoot in manual mode?

Thank you! Yes the clarity matters but you can increase the sharpness to +2. Yes, some time I spot meter on the highlights depending on the scene and how dark I want the shadows to be. I shoot in manual mode and I love back button focusing.

If you like Alan Schaller and his style you should know he absolutely hates presets. Every shot is unique and should be graded appropriately. Sure you can set your camera screen to show B&W to get a feel for how it looks but you should throw presets in the bin for your post production. Start from scratch and grade each shot as it requires. PS, do yourself a favour and don't use 7Artisans lenses as they're rubbish...
