Shameful! There was a time when gardeners were concerned with all the species - human and other-than-human-in the ecosystems they were placed in stewardship over. This development cuts right through the lifecycles of birds, insects, nocturnal animals, and even some plants in a way that is ignorant, dismissive, anthropocentric and not worthy of the RHS.
