This might be an unpopular opinion but this games story is the most entertainment I have received from a game's story since last of us part II. The gameplay is fun and reminded me of resident evil 2 remake but the first couple "boss encounters" were a bit underwhelming.

the way you saw ahti walked away from him because you were scared then realized you had to walk in so you immediately started walking toward the corner trying to avoid any scare is hilarious and exactly how i played a majority of the game. only difference was i didnt so that at that moment because i recognized ahti from control and wanted immediately out of that stage area because it was so unknown hahaha

I really enjoyed alan wake and the sequel. I do understand the game isn't for everyone but if you are into survival horror games then I definitely recommend it, just know the story is a bit complicated but in a good way if your really into lore

In American Nightmare, Alan doesn't actually escape, he is in one of the episodes of that TV series for which he wrote. In the game, he needs to face Scratch, who is a copy of evil, who is trying to escape to the real world and kill Alice. The whole game has a movie feel, a movie that was written and made by Alice. That's why in the end they meet, but unfortunately Alan ends up not leaving his dark place in that game.
