These three episodes were such a joy, but seeing Julia tear up at that ONE line in the Time Breaker episode frickin broke me. The Actor's story is already wonderful even without context, but with the weight of Quantum Break in her mind, I knew Julia would adore that story

I had a rough day yesterday at work so I wasn’t too happy by the end of the day, was tired too so I was heading for bed. But then I remembered that this dlc was out and that I had left it downloading during my lunch break so I decided to play a little since I hadn’t played any games or watched any streaming shows for a few days (have been busy). I played this tired but the comedy and unexpected fun gameplay from Rose’s dlc had me smiling and laughing-something I very much needed so I’m happy to say this dlc is very much worth it.

This whole DLC has ''Alan Wake's American Nightmare'' vibes to it, which makes sense considering that spinoff game was also framed as a Night Springs episode that Alan wrote in the Dark Place.

... American Nightmare was wave combat mode in essence ... these are little self contained stories. The only "vibe" they share is their both dlc really.

​@@sellingacoerwa8318AN is just a constant repeat of Alan learning what to do better and differently for the desired outcome, it is a cycle. Or rather, a spiral but at the time. A loop, you've dumbed it down to a plain definition but it's in fact just Groundhog day. Or Edge of Tomorrow. But in this case, they're just rewrites. Each draft of the original story, in the way of Alan learning and rectifying each mistake. It's his first real attempt at escaping.

I didn't get Ahti in the text based game. I got Lisa jumping in cauldron lake, you still meet Alan after. There's also a mixed oldest house/monarch ending that's pretty good.

Time Breaker is was my favorite I think. All the references. “We can make things crazier, WILDER”. The “You’ll come back for me?” The backstory of Door. Agggh so so good!

I can't wait to watch this tonight after I finish playing it myself. There was another game at SGF that I can't believe you missed knowing the types of games you've enjoyed over the years. It's the phantom blade 0 gameplay trailer and it was the last game they showed during the whole event. It's basically Sekiro if it was made in 2024 with a much bigger budget and a deeper and more fast paced combat system (as if Sekiro was slow). It's the only game that gave me chills and had me screaming alone in my office like a complete loser haha.

The best DLC ever! Number one fan and the brain washing caffeine cult are the best. And let´s hope they release the trailer for the second DLC "The Lake House" soon. So far I can give this DLC eight out of ten energy drinks! Hopefully in the next DLC we can dive even deeper into the deep state caffeine conspiracy and the bad-boy werewolf biker brother story.

I played it yesterday and I noticed that during the monologue on Chapter 3 Door's voice turns weird when he says "reality" o "realities", like it gets a weird sound, I noticed it while playing it but now seeing this gameplay I see it's true. It's fun how they add these little details.

I could see them casually exchanging barbs, without malice but definitely with a vibe of “testing the waters.” Door didn’t seem to mind the Old Gods, at least not while he was “playing his part” as the talk show host for Alan’s Dark Place shenanigans. I’ve always held to my own headcanon that the “gods”, like Ahti and Tor and Odin, have always existed in one way or another as people have come into contact with the paranatural forces that govern the multiverse; these people take up the names and, eventually, the “mantles” of their respective personas. I can see someone like Door having a lot of respect for those willing to shoulder the burden of becoming something far greater than they were originally meant to be; it also explains why Door had some veiled disdain for Wake before the conclusion for The Final Draft, as Alan was still very much a flawed man irresponsibly playing with forces he shouldn’t have been.

It's great that Julia really tried to catch up with all the Remedy games to better understand most of the lore. Surprised she didn't have the same enthusiasm to play the original FF7 to prepare for Remake and Rebirth, and not even after she finished Rebirth.
