I hear shes from somewhere in Tibet. I saw a segment on TV. They featured her on the Soundtrack to 'Red Cliff' which was huge here. She has amazing range and tone. I dont know if she writes her own lyrics or not, but when she still has a strong accent which makes it difficult to listen to in a completely natural way, its hard to imagine that she does....Those are probably a few reasons she isnt as popular here in Japan as someone might assume. But all in all I think shes great.

Her ethnicity did this ( minor folks) not untill this last decade they got more spotlight than her eraly debut ( tho she did debut grand entrance with singing the redcliff ost, not long from this song debut, which too bad is a japan label,) onething unique is sometimes u mess up singing 2 version of song but hers dont have that ( not all her japan song has chinese version, depends which one is the master ver) , somehow her chinese song has been arranged nicely when its going to the japan ver ( good job by the arranger)

I had never heard of her before today but compared to many young singers today (worldwide) she is truly a breath of fresh air. I could listen to her sweet, but powerful, voice all day. She seems to be a very sweet person also.

she was born n raised in tibet, even had her own tibetan name alan dawa dolma ( they say she got ousted for the propaganda song for 2008 summer olympics when lesser singer than her was involved in it, due to her avex label deal)

Like HH Dalai Lama said, "everyone wish to be happy". I think happiness is basic human right. Tibetans do not want freedom, we are not terrorist, we are not separatist. We just don't want to be second class citizens in our own homeland. If equality is too much to ask then I have no words to say. PS:If you like Alan then support her. She is dear to many Tibetan as well as Chinese.

她很漂亮又很有才華 難得一見的人才 但去日本發的單曲 特色不大強 跟很多日本女歌手的歌差不了太多 可能是為了市場妥協 唱腔不能太有特色 所以減少了她中氣十足而清烈的唱法希望日本那邊能讓他多所發揮 不然太可惜了

Moshi Moshi Haha...the British rule and Russian??? Sorry Khampas are mixed with Mongolians as are the Amdo clans in Tibet. The only thing is that we weren't mixed with Chinese, it maybe that there are mixed Chinese/ Tibetan in Tibet from the last few decades. Tibetans usually produce beautiful women and tall, handsome men unlike Chinese around the neighboring places. Tibet for Tibetans! Arigato
