I love Maki. It's interesting how one background character that's literally just been in the background for two seasons can be such an interesting addition. I also just find her very adorable since unlike most tsundere archetypes she's just too easy to crack to reveal the gooey lovey dovey bits underneath. Plus if the fanbase won't love her, nobody will so it's kinda like a sworn duty if you're a manga fan at this point.

I think it’s funny how Shirogane accurately predicted that Maki has a secret crush on Kashiwagi’s boyfriend from the very beginning, the foreshadowing in this show is insane. I know Maki was always in the background, but she quickly became my second favorite side character when she was properly introduced.

Maki was also the one that actually made Kashiwagi ask the question in the first place, she was probably planning on making her move before the Wall Slam incident took place. It's also interesting at one point when she was about ready to break up with him but Chika made her realize her feelings through the jealousy thing she thought of him with Maki. Hence we come full circle with that in this episode as well.

During season 1, when that guy asked Shirogane for advice, he mentioned that he must be in his Popular phase(which is not). But amongst those 4 girls, Maki really likes that guy. That's why she's upset towards the person who suggested the "Wall down"🤣. Also as Ishigami mentioned, her Tsundere attitude is what makes her attractive or something like that.

So this is info from one of the Kaguya sama spin off, but basically Maki asked Kashiwagi to ask Tsubasa if he was single, this because Maki had a crush on him, but then thanks to the Kabedan of Miyuki, Kashiwagi and Tsubasa started dating and since then it has been eternal suffering for Maki. (Also Kashiwagi didnt know that Maki had a crush on him). Also Maki is basically a mirror of Kaguya

@@AlanaMisako I second my dress up darling, it's such a great show with great characters and even though it has it's "fan service" moments it's so wholesome at the same time. It's in my top 3 Anime of the year with SpyxFamily and Ultra Romantic. All three are my number 1 anime this year because it too tough to choose just one of them. Also My Dress Up Darling is similar to Horimiya with it's main characters being opposites in a way and it's done by the same studio as well, Cloverwork who also helped with SpyxFamily. They have worked on two of the top anime of the year thus far.
