Reminded me of some of the attacks from the protagonist in Grandia on the PSX. They had similar names and were also vocally announced, with some ridiculous graphical effects on the higher skill levels.

Very good reaction, Alana! You caught on that the necklaces had family crests. Some other reactors thought that's how Aura was controlling them. Also the way they animated Stark putting on his jacket was incredible and really not needed, but we sure appreciate it. Stark and Fern are the real deal. Especially Fern. What a bad ass.

Now you can see why Frieren trusted Fern and Stark so much and was sure they could beat their opponents. I was so proud of both of them ❤ This episode (and the one after) are so good, and I'd rewatch them so many times you have no idea! Actually, there is a very good reason why Lügner underestimated Fern (also Draht - the Demon Frieren killed last episode - did the same with Frieren) and it will be explained (but I suppose you already know it, considering you are way ahead with the reactions). The line Stark tells Linie ("My master's hits were much heavier") is so true: she can copy his abilities - yes - but she didn't train her body to "sustain" them on herself. Stark, on the contrary, was able to train while fighting constantly "the world's strongest Warrior" and could experience first-hand Eisen's power, so of course to him Linie's hits were not comparable to Eisen's. He only needed the confidence. Stark isn't really aware of how strong he is, and I hope he'll come to realize it soon. 5:00: I'm glad you noticed this! Madhouse is totally cooking with Frieren, even such a simple action is animated so well!

Eisen knew that stark was stronger, but stark didn't know that. He believed eisen to be stronger because he always lost to him. That's also why he thought he had no chance of winning at first when he heard that he is facing Eisen's techniques.

Just so it's clear for people, all these guards weren't killed in combat by Aura. Aura took over their bodies, AND THEN decapitated them afterwards, so that if they "regain control" of their bodies they just die. Just goes to show how evil they are

It's funny how Fern was prey at the start and after the first shoot fired she became the huntress. Lügner just danced at the Fern's palm all the time.

Because her demon-killing magic compensates for her disadvantage in power. He could have just killed her immediately but he decided to clown around instead because he thought her mana was pathetic (even though she could've killed him in the previous episode if they weren't so scared of Linie for no reason). So, his arrogance + her mana suppression = dead Lugner. The speed advantage was enough. Once she knew she had that, she just methodically, robotically killed him, business as usual. The only thing that doesn't make sense is Linie not just killing Stark when he's on the ground. It really wouldn't take her more than a few extra seconds, and she doesn't have the "lol mana diff" excuse that Lugner had.

I'm sure many have said this already, but Frieren's title would be better as "Frieren the Ender" and not Slayer, as Sousou in japanese is referring to the end of something and someone/something that ends life, like Death and the Undertaker. I mean, it's the tittle of the show too: "Sousou no Frieren" which wasn't translated as Frieren the Slayer but as Frieren: the Journey's end.
