Dreamer D68 Select Limited camper van. RV that suits tall people who appreciate lighting!

Just some points. The rear suspension comes with air support. The gas cylinders are on Trumas dual system, meaning no changing cylinders at 2 in the morning. There’s an external shower with hot and cold fitted, also there is an option for an oven/grill. There’s a separation pull out blind between the lounge and the bedroom. The third bed is made up in the lounge and is a traverse bed using the bultex mattress used in the bedroom. Finally the toilet swings to the left leaving you with a separate shower room. This is a fabulous van and so is it’s sister the Rapido v68 which is almost identical. I am waiting for the price on the new ducato series 8 before buying. I would advise anyone who is thinking of buying to wait till the new ducato is available, it can be viewed on KZbin and is far superior to the current model.

Hi Alan, it’s actually not a wet room. The wall moves from right to left to make a shower room. We actually have the Dreamer Family Van with the same bathroom and it’s fab.

Most of the comments will have covered what I would have said too about many of the reasons to buy not having been shown, however, there aren’t many Vloggers who cover all the positives and negatives in their short videos (but at least he goes to the shows and videos them) - I have just ordered the sister van (Rapido V68) at the recent NEC show (downsizing from the Rapido 866F), and watched about 10 different videos on the V68/D68 to shortlist beforehand. I was then able to go to the show to spend particular time looking at the Rapido and Adria Twin especially (I don’t like clingy curtains so the swing wall type washrooms was my ideal (shown in other videos) - and both Rapido and Adria seem to do this the best for their campervans - the Malibu was nice but I didn’t really like the sliding toilet). Anyway, looking at the Rapido and Adria in the flesh there was no comparison - for us the quality of the Rapido won hands down. The only really downside was the increased price - plus expensive options so it was a case of deciding what we really wanted and weren’t too bothered about as we could have easily ticked over £15k of options! But at least we received a great PX offer which was guaranteed for next spring (12 months wait for the new van).

Hey Alan,,,Looks very comfortable with cushy Captain seats. Plenty of natural light. I like the central drawer lock system,,convenient. Nice K. sink but the largest of the burners should be in the back for cooking safety. Otherwise,, a very well thought out CV.:)

Hi Alan, unfortunately your review of the D68 presents the van under value. There are several reasons that I have order this Dreamer last year and I am looking forward to get it as 2022 model in March next year (hopefully, as the parts situation at Fiat is as bad as everywhere in car manufacturing). Especially the bathroom with a foldaway wall to seperate an individual shower room, two overhead bins in the kitchen, plenty of storage in the bedroom (including the big cabinet for hanging clothes), big fridge and fancy cooker with additonal tray option as well as intelligent solution for addtional bed in dinette made my decission. Before ordering I have compared a lot of different vans. Because of the a.m. reasons plus the open line of sight to the back and the wide feeling of space by skyview I finally chose to buy the D68.

For this type of car, this was good, but standard solutions. Bright and tasteful interior, the lighting was very good. The bathroom was good, but of course with limitations. Not so often with this size of refrigerator, they always get too small no matter what. Had I been to buy this type of car, this would have been relevant.

So much missed on this review. The spec is top end with generous tank and gas capacities, suspension upgrades and upholstery and cabinet variants. Probably one of the best folding shower arrangements out there at the moment.

this may have been a one off but the gap between the door and the overhead cabinet (above the bed) didn't seem to line up and the step up between the beds seemed warped, just wondering about the quality, apart from that it looks a nice job ;O)

Women usually smaller than men, could have length adjustable beds to give more foot space around the bed.

Nice interior. The skreen to me is ok for show, but it won't do any good when klosing the window. Moskuitoes will get in. Unless the window kan be klosed from the outside of the motorhome and then klose the skreen from inside. And still, I think, some will be between the skreen and window. Exhausting the way I think. 🧐 Right?

Not sure what your point is... The door flyscreen is useful when you are inside the van or when you are outside cooking / eating etc. If you have the door closed (and not using the flyscreen you have a big window in the door that opens and has its own flyscreen,,,,, We have a D60 Fun with the same layout for the door and it works just fins.

Mr Heaths camper and motorhome reviews are some of the worst I have ever seen and heard.He obviously does not document himself on each model before he even enters the vehicles. If I was a manufacturer I would not allow him anywhere near any of the vehicles. There are far ,far better reviews on line that those of Mr Heath's.

@@VanlifewithAlan hardly a reasonable I reply. You do have a habit of wandering into a van with no knowledge of even its basic spec leading to errors, and missing out relevant information Alan. But then you are not alone. I suppose it may come down to access time you get for each van. But I do enjoy your videos and they have been helpful over the years.

@@williamhurley8407 I think it is a perfectly reasonable reply to a troll William. The fact that Mr Gonzalez cannot name a single error in the video should tell you all you want to know. As for not describing things, most videos have a good description and if at a trade fair, I show the board - and that is despite all the problems filming at such places with a lack of time, harrassment by the security, people playing copyright music etc etc..
