Monocoque body with rear lounge. Silverdream 720 - one of the most beautiful motorhomes I know!

Silverdream now has three motorhomes with a rear lounge, this new one introduced for 2024 is in the middle of the range. I think it is one of the most beautiful motorhomes I know!

I live in a motorhome full time and travel around Europe in it. I spend most of my time in Poland, Germany and Italy. Vanlife is my life.

I do this by regularly attending trade events such as CMT Stuttgart, Abenteuer und Allrad, Caravan Salon Dusseldorf, Warsaw Caravan and Camping Show and sometimes others.
I cover equipment, including 12v electrical equipment and talk a lot about lithium batteries.
I also show some of the places I have visited in Europe in my own motorhome, as well as the places you can stay at! I try to give as much coverage as I can to official campsites and free places which I use for overnighting. Therefore you can find here the aire or stellplatz that you are possibly looking for.

Alan, Is there a make of motorhome that stands out in terms of quality of fittings, even if it's a bit more expensive? or are they all made of the same rubbish?

I think they are generally made of similar rubbish but what makes some stand out is how that rubbish is put together, is it also rubbish or do they take care doing it. There is a reason why some brands are really cheap when they all have Truma boilers, Thetford toilets and Dometic fridges and are all built on the Fiat Ducato.

In Arizona sun 110 F Temps, it would need ducted AC with vents above the bed. Always liked this layout

Yes, I agree it would do. However there is a fan ventilation system which they have been using in their vans for many years! But it is a fan, not a cooler like AC.

Alan, you have mentioned in one of last videos that it's better usage of 50.000 € - to buy used Hymer or Frankia (even 15 y old) vs buying some of the new crappy motorhome. Any other motorhome brand that is reliable regarding quality when you buy used vehicle?

I would certainly include Silver Dream in that list, however used models are very rare. I filmed some older models three years ago such as this one : kzbin.info/www/bejne/mpyllaugZtmki9E . However, EUR50k might not be enough! I would also consider, for example, Niesmann Bischoff, EuraMobil, Carthago and probably one or two others too. However, I would have to warn of things which have flashy electronics - flashy when new, broken now!
