Whitby Goth Festival 2023 - Halloween Special!

A second visit to the Whitby Goth Festival and a full walking tour. The Whitby Goth Weekend is an alternative music festival held in Whitby over both weekend days but actually starts on Friday, with over 100 ‘Bizarre’ Bazar alternative trade stalls at the Whitby Leisure Centre, and Whitby Brunswick Centre. Whitby was packed with Goths and people enjoying the great weather and the fantastic vibe generated all around the town. If you have never been you really need to go, it's great fun, with amazing people.

Love your jacket alan,long drive over the moors ,but sets the Dracula 🦇 start.i hate packed trains.least the weather is good that day.Love the goth nicknac shop,and the lovely shop displays. Spooky trip. That looked like a great festival to check our. Kristy would absolutely love hanging out here and checking out the sights. Halloween is her favorite Holiday of the year and the costumes and other goods on display fit right in with how she likes to decorate for the season. Look absolutely fantastic. Wow that was a spooky train ride.fantastic look around the pavilion and a cheeky look inside some of the great shops. The October one is absolutely crazy busy now. I bet they are booking those B and Bs now for next year! Your certainly covering some miles on this one, its surprising how many you do on every visit to Whitby! Wow the bridge is very quiet, didn’t stay like that for long. The Jason/Halloween character was very scary. Oh the temperance society were there, missed them! Definitely the busiest we have seen it. Oh you caught Noi Dennis, i missed her yesterday. The Abbey was closed due to being water logged from the day before.we had to forgo our fish and chips, the queues were insane, but like you say the spirits were high and everyone was enjoying it! Love your face on the busy streets, priceless! Superb coverage Alan! 👍

I was going to say I am surprised I never saw you but then again, I was surprised I was even able to move at a few points, it was mental but also fun as well. I had to force my way on to the train, the guard said it was full but I had stood for 30 minutes and paid for a ticket, so there was no way I was not getting on that train lol. @@AlanMETALMANthat train looked to be full of characters too! Think that bit is a video in itself. I made the mistake of not heeding my own advice and thinking i could get parked in Whitby. After driving around all of it three times i had to give up (couldnt even find any pay for parking) and ended up parking in Sandsend.we saw a few people we knew on the bridge but it was impossible to get to them. When we got back last night we were exhausted, mentally and physically. Fell asleep almost immediately! Great day though and all very lovely people!

Here we are again. A really great festival. We were at one such festival a long time ago. Bio je to Wave-Gotik-Treffen in Germany was also phenomenal. I like that there are still such events because we used to have a lot of fun and we had a really big selection of music. I like the decorations and masks that are sold. Yes, people come from all over the world for this weekend and all the hotels and B&Bs are booked up months in advance, so I am lucky we only love about 70 miles away so can drive there and back on the day. I'm back hehe and this was so good to watch and very atmospheric for Halloween and that train did seem packed ! Whitby is the perfect place for this festival and I enjoyed your walk around accompanied by perfect music and sounds 😃It was so busy and I loved the goths in the graveyard and all of the costumes that everybody wore. It is always a great event and despite all the crowds, the atmosphere all day was amazing, real fun day, just a shame Mrs Metalman had to cry off at the last minute. We are about an hour from Whitby so a place we visit a lot every year but the Goth Weekends are a real highlight, so much fun and despite the enormous crowds the atmosphere was brilliant all day. I had intended to go back for the Sunday as well but the awful weather put paid to that. I am sure you would never be underdressed and it would be great to see you there. It's a real fun day Julie and the first time I went (April) I went on the Sunday, which was a lot quieter. I spoke to a few friends who were this all said it was the busiest Saturday they had ever known, which is why Mrs Metalman was pleased she did not come. I got the parked and got the train from Ruswrap, which is one stop (5 minutes) train ride to Whitby and I walked back, which took me 20 minutes at a good pace. Yes, we are from Co Durham but 10 miles South of Durham City. Thanks very much for watching, cheers Alan
