Beautiful and crystal clear 🙏 I know myself as awareness for a long time but always needed to take a step back to be aware of that knowing. Now, thanks to Rupert, I am in the proces of learning to recognise awareness in the ever changing experiences that I am. And thus not losing myself anymore but being at peace with whatever seems to appear. Even resistance and suffering and the heart that opens up with compassion as a seeming reaction are part of that ever changing experience that I am. 💞

I read this early today and came across it in this video: (50) Jesus said, "If they say to you, 'Where did you come from?', say to them, 'We came from the light, the place where the light came into being on its own accord and established itself and became manifest through their image.' If they say to you, 'Is it you?', say, 'We are its children, we are the elect of the living father.' If they ask you, 'What is the sign of your father in you?', say to them, 'It is movement and repose.'" There is a world of awareness around us that our physical senses will never capture but when you get a glimpse of it, you can only smile at the awareness of peace. Tell no one verbally but share it silently. Peace!

We acknowledge the limitation of metaphors (as concessions to the limits of language and mind to know that without limits). If awareness is the substance that modulates, how about the message of how the modulation is to modulate? Later this question is asked and Rupert says it's not possible to answer followed by an explanation why at 20:51. Rupert, or anyone, here is my problem. Everything Rupert says about experience, thoughts, feelings and perceptions makes perfect sense. It is clear, and to me, cannot be otherwise. This is exactly how the human mind seems to work. I experience exactly what Rupert says. That is my awareness of my body, my thoughts and all my perceptions of everything have to be a "modulation" or some kind of change happening in my consciousness. Agreed... No problem! My problem is when this experience, my experience, is seen in terms of the world I live in. Rupert seem to say this personal experience of mine is representative of reality of the world. He says "matter" or the inner and outer world does not exist. This is where I have a real problem. In some way I thought of this as a child... my feelings then were the same as now after hearing Rupert. As a student studying science my feelings were also the same. So, why do you Rupert say my personal awareness or experience is representative of all reality. To me, non-duality can only mean that my experience is non-duel. To me this changes nothing about the nature of the real world. This is not so much a statement, but as a question on inquiry. I would like someone to explain what I am not seeing here. I would like for Rupert to address this a bit more. Perhaps he does and I am just missing it. What am I missing, or where am I confused? I would love to know!

I'm not sure if I understand your question. A simple model of reality would be.......there is awareness and within awareness all apparent things arise as the dynamic energy of this awareness and so are inseparable. All arisings are equal as awareness and arise, abide and dissolve leaving no trace. Abiding as myself, I am prior to the thought 'I' am. The thought 'I' am is an arising which dissolves without a trace. I don't know a simpler model but not sure if it addresses your problem. Feel free to come back to me if we can proceed further. 🙏

Hi all, just had a question if anybody is able to answer. When Rupert says there isn't a multiplicity and diversity of objects I don't quite understand what he means. I find his Mary and Jane dream analogy very helpful but couldn't quite relate it to this statement (awareness not knowing objects). When the dreamer becomes lucid at night, and wakes up into it's own dream it realizes everything is made of itself (awareness) but it is still experiencing a multiplicity and diversity of objects through the dreamed character, but now knows the reality of the objects are made of itself, awareness. So my understanding is that awareness does know objects, but knows them as itself. Is that correct? Or am I missing something? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks :)

Awareness/myself doesn't know objects because there is no differentiation in myself. We can 'go to' ourselves and know this in direct experience. Objects only come into apparent being through the perceiving faculty (the five senses). The five senses cannot be the reality because if there were, lets say, eight senses, then the apparent objects would look very different. In seeing through the veil of the senses we see and understand that the multiplicity and diversity is only apparent. Apparent objects and a world are still appearing but we know their reality as a fabrication. As Rupert says Maya remains but ignorance goes. If you want to chat further you can find me on facebook?
