@@greventlov i am very experienced with dog types that can be very aggressive . I have even rehab'd a hostile mistrust ingredients defense/fear aggression 6 wk old AmStaff who was whacked/spanked for " causing a ruckus and growling and for barking " and just basically for playing in the too-small pen provided them,like puppies do naturally, but most especially when they're basically on top of each other with no room to even scoot aside to potty. Mother was separated across the room from her puppies because the stupid 18-year-old girl thought that they were just too hard on her they were just sucking her dry they were just draining her of all of her energy and blah blah blah. I was still heartbroken and still not quite over my other dog dying and I fell in love with this little white dog that had similar colored patches and I just knew it was a bad idea but I still adopted the dog well I didn't adopt, i paid $175 for it. She was carrying it around Walmart with her when I was on a "retail therapy" trip. Even knowing that was a bad decision I still did it. I've only bought a Maltese from a breeder things were handled a bit differently I did go to their home I did see the mom and dad and the conditions and all that stuff I thought I'm not going to worry about it. Well I had to go back and visit the girl and play dumb and talk about stuff until she loosened up and told me stuff or just acted normally and I sure enough found out a whole lot of stuff I found out why the dog was hostile. And besides that point, is this: I seem to always pick the dominant dog. You know they just have the most personality and they just got a little fire, and a little sass, and I like that. I can deal with stubborn dogs I can outweigh them I have the patience of Job. I will be the boss I will be the leader I will be the mother I will act like mama dog sometimes and I will be constantly on them guiding them every step of every day. They will not get one inch in the wrong direction before they are guided or corrected to do something else and they are given the time in the moment if possible to make the right decision.I kind of like dogs to be thinkers. I like a lot of things to be organic and let dogs figure out and make the right decisions, so I can reward them for thinking. I like for them to learn self control and I make sure that I bond with them very well so that I basically don't really have to train them real stiff and formal. I have the absolutes but because I'm always the guide they pretty much just always make the right decisions. My credentials are Pits, 2 were behavior rehab adoptions, AmStaff, APBTs -from fighting lines/game bred & faster than lightning and mischiefous, Boxers - a drover & hunter, a Mastiff, BullMastiffs, GSDs, Chow Chow, and cross of those two types, Lab femme, Beagle/Labrador male, Chihuahua, angry male Corgi, a cross of those two types, Rotts, somewhere unidentifiable mutts and the most wonderful is the Jack Russell / Heinz 57 that I trained as a protection dog , she could take a run at her target, climb it like a tree and knock them down, go for their throat, it was cool. She was sharp as a tech I could tell her five other areas to go for that were all out of flinging range. In other words not the ankles she can be flung off or kicked off or stomped, and hands and wrists get hurt and people want to run... and bleed and leave DNA and fingerprints. They said I couldn't do it. All were intact except for a 6-month Boxer that I got that had already been spayed, it was a stray. Only had one breeding of the Maltese parrot that I had for that purpose. Decided not to ever breed again. Anyway I'm very watchful and I talked to the dogs all day long and I don't allow him to do stuff that's going to start to be a problem they never tear up my furniture or shoes or my belongings because they learn what's theirs and they learn what's mine and my house is constantly strong with Hooves and horns and wonderful stuff that when they chew on it it gets real stinky they love it they learn to share they learn all kinds of other words that most people don't use with their dogs so nobody else can tell my dogs what to do. Except when it comes to the possibility of a kid getting bitten dogs learn to ignore squeaks and squeals and sounds that little kids commonly make when they're scared my dogs learn to sit if somebody's having a fit about being near them they learn to sit and watch and wait. They know what I'm pleased and they know when I am not pleased because of the faces I make or the sort of throaty growl that I will admit to let them know.

I have been looking and researching on this dog for the last two or three years amongst others and I think this dog is the cat's meow as they say (about things other than dogs,but you get it). He's social and gets along with other animals so that is not a liability, not like when a pitbull is [ edited for specific case clarity due to a comment 'game bred' with high prey drive] is being animal aggressive, so he could be put to use as a service animal to carry things and to fetch things for me and to learn other helpful things. I think if you made it a game and rewarded him with play or tug of war or a treat I think he would be happy one way or the other. This breed is also fierce enough to handle all comers, ither to warn or escalate as need be - like my Boxer had been , only , like...on steriods. Thank goodness its not like some dogs that act like they're 'roided up with no place to rage... except at everyone who passes by. Conversely, I can see this dog being a problem and a liability IF it were ever mistreated and had cause to mistrust people and thereby become a defensive fighter-biter. In other sources I have researched, the information very nearly stated what I will sum up here as my understanding of it: this dog is everything you said already, PLUS it is sensitive to it's owner that it bonds with, loves to please and is very very obedient, as in, it will be in the middle of some command you have told it to do, whether it is fetch my slippers or go chew that sketchy mofo's ass up, and if you so much as say "ahem, Rolf, i think i've change my mind", he will stop, and wait for other instruction or automatically heel. But he WILL STOP what he's doing - because you said so -and you don't even have to be that fierce or bossy or Alpha-sounding to accomplish it. This dog is said to love to please its master and be very obedient to him or her. All of that being said, I am pretty darn sure it depends on your training technique and how consistent you are and how well you treat that dog and incorporated into the family is it needs to be a part of the family. They are very pack / family oriented, so they need to be a part of the group as is seen by the way they hunt side by side.

Karen I've had three pit bulls and not one of them are animal aggressive in fact they sit and play with my cat ,it's totally how you bring them up so it's not the animal it's mixing it with other pets while it's a pup!enough people condemn the pit bull as it .
@karenmullen3210
@karenmullen3210 3 жыл бұрын
@@grahambroughton4416 mine were game bred with high prey drive and were not socialized amongst fur bearing beasts , only to humans, because of my need for varmint control (vermin). I edited for clarity so others might not misunderstand the fact that I said "when pitbulls are animal aggressive". There are only a few reasons for their aggression towards other animals: 1. It is bred into the breed , however lately, in recent years, since it is a problem, they (edit: responsible people) have been breeding away from it... it depends on the bloodline from which you get your dog. 2. Too irresponsible to match a pair of socks, much less a good pair of well formed and angulated dogs , negligent of training and socialization, and ignorant of genetics, backyard breeders are doing it for greedy gain. 3. Lack of socialization to a variety of different situations and a variety of different people with and without appliances (cripple gear, like leg braces, canes, etc) and other accoutrements of being handicapped.

What's the difference with these and the Presa canorio
@MS-we4wi
@MS-we4wi 3 жыл бұрын
The Alano is more of a hunter and can hunt in packs, Presas is better natural protector. Presa's typically don't like other dogs so it's not a good breed for pack hunting. But a working Presa can be a good solo hunter(catch dog). Presas are bigger/heavier than Alanos, the Alano is the most athletic. Both breeds can be great for experienced owners, but they are best suited for living in the country, they need enough space. And they have to work.
