That was fantastic Alan i watched this morning before i went to work this morning! that lane where you said that guy hung him self, that wine bar next door i worked in there for 1 day and never went back it went right under ground and when i went down i had a feeling i was being watched and came back up the stairs but when i got to the top there was the loudest baging on the wooden stairs very creepy wouldnt go back. Another building on grey street iv worked in is haunted and that has a basement which staff told me at a night time you can hear office chairs what are being storedbeing moved the wheels from the chairs being pushed. went down once and looked like it had some sort of tunnel. i would love you to go to the old prison think now bt offices my friend worked in there and there is tunnels with old cells and war stuff down there some doors wont open.

Nice video, I found this on my recommended. I'm a student who has just recently moved into town but I'm local to the area, its very interesting to be made aware of these stories, especially when I know these locations from my walks.

When I was 13 my sister used to work with horses till like ten at night. She didn’t drive so my mam used to go and pick her up. In the winter it was pitch black and am sure I used to listen to your ghost stories on the radio in the dark while waiting for her to finish.

Hi Alan! Sooo my flat is super haunted in Heaton! I have caught golden orbs appear out of no where and also I asked whoever it was to open my kitchen door which he whispered (open) and the door opened! My friends all have heard plates move, doors open and voices. I am not scared but I feel this man is trapped and I would be more than happy to give you the keys to my home to investigate!

Hello from the U.S. to you Alan! We call taking someone against their will to be put on a ship here in the U.S..-Shanghai/Shanghaied-they would be drugged (slipped a Mickey) and either dragged out to the ship or some taverns had trapped doors on the floors in their pubs (paid by the captain of course) and they would be either lock up in the "tunnel" until it was time to go to the ship.

I have an unknown affinity with Newcastle and I have no idea why, I am Welsh and live and have lived in Cardiff all my life. When I joined the army in 1976 I played football for the intake and was paired with a Newcastle fan who I can only remember as Geordie Brown ? I went to a Sunderland / Toon derby and we went to the game and stayed with his nan ( In Sunderland ) and I thought the people were absolutely fantastic. We were training in Catterick. I have supported Newcastle ever since. A friend of mine in Australia also found a record of a John Halton being shipped to Oz in around 1776 or so who was living in Newcastle. My grandparents are from London/ Ireland and Rawtenstall Lancashire so I have no idea why I should feel close to Newcastle .... But I do ? Is my surname Halton resident / popular that far North or am I just pretending that I have roots that far North ? Maybe one day I'll find out.

How come Alan said he was keeping his distance, following guidelines etc, then mentioned his cameraman was wearing a mask then he proceeded to shake that strangers hand like 3 min later?? Anyone else puzzled by this??
