nexus alternate reality lore. the skin is a "what if" he exists in world of warcraft and serve the old gods. its called "herald of n'zoth". that is something i like about blizz doing skins. its the nexus with alternate realms and realities so they decide to give skins some background lore and what realm they are from or what if timelines. blood queen kerrigan and crimson count arthas are from the raven court realm and they face vampire hunter valla. for timelines of "what if" tyrande and maiev switched roles and same with illidan and malfurion. illidan is a druid and his brother the betrayer while tyrande is the warden and maiev became the priestess of elune. oh and the sentinals in that what if timeline are dryads.

greatshaman0724 Q is a character from Star Trek that was played by John deLancie. The character is much beloved by the ST comunity and is one of the most famous characters he ever played. Discord is a vilain from MLP that was inpired by Q and was also played by John deLancie. Togteher Q and Discord as possibly the mos amous and most beloved roles he ahs ever done in any sort of media. Since Alarak is also voiced by deLancie the combo of his Q skill being called DISCORD Strike is a double reference.

Fun Fact: Discord Strike is suppose to be a reference to Alarak's VA's (Tom deClance) past roles. It's his Q ability (Q from Star Trek) and Discord was a character from MLP. Least, that's what the wiki told me.

Alarak vs Illidan, the edgiest duel in the Nexus Illidan jumps on Alarak and gets silenced, then Alarak Lightning surges him. Illidan realizes Alarak is too edgy and tries to escape. Nope, using his Sith might and telekinesis Illidan back in just in time for another sweet silence. For the first time ever Illidan was butchered by someone who isn't Butcher. Long live the Highlord! Glory to the Tal'darim!
