Alarm Chirp on Lock/Unlock - OBDeleven Pro Coding - Volkswagen, Audi, Seat, Skoda

Eyup everyone,
I wanted to bring you another video, this time covering how to enable the alarm chirp on lock/unlock. I used OBDeleven Pro coding to enable this and you are able to enable this feature on most Volkswagen, Audi, Seat and Skoda models. You can find a definitive list of cars here: www.obdeleven.com
A really nice addition to the car, it's not too loud but noticeable, and helps when locking your vehicle.

Do you know how to get rid of the horn on an "18 Tiguan? Can't stand the thing blowing when I lock and unlock it. I unchecked the acoustic confirmation, but it still honks.

Is this legal? I've done it on my A4. However I've heard that in the UK, a confimation of lock should be via visual means only and not acoustic. Furthermore, if it was legal, why would they keep it off by default?

The chirp is linked directly to your horn, so you can't increase/decrease the volume

Hi there, good video well presented etc. Just a couple of points I don't have an OBDeleven I have a Foxwell NT510 Elite Multi-System Scanner which has its own screen (doing away with the MMI and the second is part of your title quotes "Alarm Chirp on Lock/Unlock, Audi " now i fully appreciate that VW & Audi are very close cousins but can you do a video without the MMI on an Audi preferably A3 Thanks in advance Tony

I turn on lock chimp and same how turned off the dead lock I think it’s something to do with turning on/off safe lock

That's the noise it produces and unfortunately there are no options to change it

There should be a check box option in the cars settings on the head unit, I think mine was under sounds

The chirp is there only if you have factory alarm system.

No it was not helpful at all. The only thing that would be helpful is to show how to activate alarm when the door is being opened in an unauthorised way.

The standard car alarm would do that...

There's little to be done to alarm the door being opened in an unauthorized way, if the car is locked, the alarm should sound (same if the car is locked with Windows open, and somebody reaches in) If the car is broken into, in whatever way, the alarm should sound. Your other options are such things as Viper 106V, Autowatch Ghost etc.
