Hello. May it possible, that you show your head lights in a video? Precisely the side marking leds in the head lights? I'm from Austria and hate the fact, that Volkswagen choose to not put them in the European market head lights. I think about to chance this on my own (own a mk 7.5 facelift too) and need more information and pictures/videos of the side marking lights from a facelift, 'cause sadly nobody films direct this part of them. Pro-tip: If you have an Android phone that is rooted, you can set up an auto-clicker to play the ads over and over. I have a spare android phone, I just sign in, enable the "script" and let it sit until I rack up the credits I need. Only takes like 45 minutes to get 200 credits, AND it makes the company money to keep making incredibly useful apps and tweaks for us to enjoy. Its a win-win and I hope that OBD doesn't block this!

Unfortunately this is actually becoming a thing with a few manufacturers. Certain features will be built into all the cars, but will be locked unless you paid for them. I’ve even seen some that will be a subscription. Want heated seats? Gotta pay a monthly fee to keep them enabled 🙄

OBDEleven is a lot more than just what is shown here. It's a scan tool with extensive capabilities on top of being able to long code things like you see here. It's relatively cheap and works with your phone, it's a must buy if you aren't just a drone who prays the dealer is going to take care of you.

Does the remote shut-off the engine now with mod? ( say u r emptying ashtray and car is running and someone hops in while other person distracted you..can u turn off engine with remote? I have used the OBDeleven extensively on my 2019 SEL-P Jetta which has the Cold Weather Package. I programmed it with the auto-lock upon closing your door which I love. I used the app to keep the car running while the doors are locked and it didn't work. I had to remove the little plastic door handle piece to gain access to use my key to unlock the door. I thought maybe because I have the remote start feature or the door slam programming is why the door doesn't unlock with my key FOB.

Don’t I think this is worth it for a 2013 Jetta tdi (premium trim)?? For example, my car doesn’t honk when I lock it but I want it to. I do not have push start but when it’s cold I want to be able to start my car with one key and lock it with the other. Heated seat memory would be nice too lol.

I live in Sweden. there is no such.. only drl, auto, lowbeam and pull knob for fog lights or drl, lowbeam and pull knob. The high beam is on the blinker. Just pull it against yourself. Edit of course some cars may be different but as far I know here in sweden and norway. Just like Volvo and Audi. They do have taillights on only when auto is used. so like drl, auto/taillights, lowbeam

How does the Ambient Color App work I just got the OBD11 V2 Pro and when I use the app it comes up 'Not Supported" ... BUT I read the Adaptation code and watched a video on it and after you do the adaption code you have to then reset the radio by holding the power button until the radio turns off and then back on again. (so how does the app perform this function?) Then you click on the light symbol at the end of the color bar and select different areas in the car as well. Seems may be different for different models in different countries even though the OBD11 show's the App for my car. I have a 2020 Golf MK7.5 R. Australia.

People get way too hung up on the credit app aspect of the obdeleven. They don't understand that you can do everything for free on there, those apps are just for convenience. And you don't even need to buy them, you can get them for free just by logging in daily and/or watching some short ads. I've already used pretty much all the apps I want for my car, including the 100 credit euro tail light one and I didn't pay a single cent for credits. There's nothing wrong with going the cable route either, but imo the obdeleven is very user friendly and it's all I personally need as a casual enthusiast doing some tinkering and not a proper mechanic.

Woah. Does this work for 2015 mk7? I hate not being able to lock my car while warming it up in the morning. I got others things to do before I leave and I hate going inside and leaving my car unlocked while running. My street isn’t bad at all but you can never be to sure.

Yes 17” is minimum size needed to clear the front R brakes. The drive is slightly more plush vs the 19” Pretoria on continentals.

They you watch ads to earn credits or you pay. Pay scale varies per country. Or just buy pro and avoid credits totally and code yourself. Credits are for convenience and people who don’t want to learn to long code the modules themselves.

It should not void warranty. But if you screw up a module code and expect the warranty to fix that or reset it for you, it won’t. Keep track of your changes.

I traded in a MK7 GTI with extensive canbus mods using OBDeleven and it scanned clean for a certified pre-owned status. These coding changes are not flagged as TD1, like an ECU flash is.

I have never had a warranty issue for canbus tweaks. However, if you completely ruin the coding it’s possible you might get charged to fix it. Just be careful and don’t do any coding changes without prior research.

Hey, what oil temperature is your normalt on? Checking for my brother who bought a 2018 last week. Hes temp is about 105-107 celsius during a normal ride on a sunny day with 24 degrees celsius

The only lights that change are the infotainment accent colours on a MK7.5. The door and sill are always blue for R or red for GTI. And you cannot swap them for canbus controlled RGB, at least I don’t think you can.

Likely not, 2015 was older head unit and software. Even if you could it’s only going to change the highlight color in the radio display. You don’t have screens elsewhere. The door strips can’t change color.

Like some of these personalised settings, one I really miss from my Skoda Superb is the lowering mirror when reversing, with the cost just for that. Which Android App were you using for this, seemed very clear and simple to use. EDIT I realise now the app is part of the OBD package.

I have not found a way yet. This is an annoying limitation, if navigating with CarPlay it turns off the map in the dash.

Canbus Coding changes are Permanent, unless you remove the code later. Nothing needs to be left inserted.

Didn’t know these kinda mods were so easy to do... is their any device that can be used to do this with an iPhone? Also why is their alloys from a standard golf on your golf R? I hope they’re just for winter tyres or something?

I have Golf tsi 7.5 with adaptive lights at dealership the DRL lights were flickering like turning on and off fast but on delivery they no longer do it seems like they switched off that function do u know how to switch it on
