Great job! Btw. you don't need to buy the Hood Switch original from Saab only, they are identical within an OPEL, Vauxhall etc.! So just look for "Opel 90355463"

Thats a great tip, thanks!

I just did this on my 9-5 07 SC A60 and DAMN did I have to dig out the connectors for the sensors. The fabric they were hidden under were glued down GOOD and the back-seat one was a bit confusing because the two connectors that go to the sensor were connected to each other so I wasn't sure if those were it.

Not all Saabs have sensors wiring. On mine 2005 9-5 combi there was only interior lights wiring. I had to replace whole roof wiring, from mirror to trunk lid. Lucky I have another 9-5 for spare parts

That's interesting to hear. Which part of the world? EU car? Imported?
@SzymonKowalewski5 жыл бұрын
Trionic Seven Eu, import from Switzerland. One for parts is MY99 from Germany

Where can I find the connection of the siren if it is not in the usual place?!?! SAAB 9-5 (2006)

My Saab 95 stopped locking with remote. It does locks with the key on the door but not with the remote, Battery is ok, second key has same issue. So, the issue I believe it's on the car. Does anyone know anything about this? Cheers

Vet du hur man kan ta bort larmet ?
@KenCarTechMeow7 жыл бұрын
Hmmm. I wonder if I can do this on my US market 2008 9-3 Aero XWD Combi.
@TrionicSeven7 жыл бұрын
Hey! Sorry, you have a ng9-3 and it's a completely different car. There might be a similar procedure as in this video, but these instructions don't apply to your car.

I have a swedish 9-3 -09, that i only installed the hoodsensor on and let the SAAB dealer code the alarm to basic stage 1, so it uses the car horn. But it works good. There is a original alarm kit you can buy(atleast in sweden) with the hoodswitch, tilt sensor and siren for the 9-3.
@TrionicSeven7 жыл бұрын
Exactly, the kit is available for purchase, but it's very expensive. I bought a used siren and rebuilt it (see the previous vid) and was able to do it for cheap.

Ah, you meant OG9-3. I understand. Yes, my us market 08 NG9-3 already has a hood sensor and uses the horn for the alarm/panic.
@tedyboy39327 жыл бұрын
09 9-3 is a ng 9-3 so he ment a ng 9-3 i assume , my saab 9-3 2008 uses both siren and horn when the "panicbutton is pushed in

Do you know anything about the install for the alarm siren in a 2011 NG 9-5?
@TrionicSeven5 жыл бұрын
That's a great question! Unfortunately the ng 9-5 is a completely different car.
