Alisdair lives in my tiny hometown and will sometimes play at our little Celtic festival and it's the greatest thing ever. He's so friendly and kind.

Not only do they put on magnificent performances like this, they put a great deal of effort into sharing the “tricks” of their trade in their wonderful teaching workshops.

Wonderful music. The fiddle and the cello were made for each other!!

On screen, or in person, these two are such a delight to watch and listen to. My mentors. I've listened to Alasdair for 20 years, and Natalie for the last 5+. I aspire.. they inspire. :) Wish I could sit in a room with them both, with a piano, my fiddle, cello, a hand drum, and just play.

This week, 300 someodd lucky and talented individuals get to do more or less something very much like this under the redwoods at Valley of the Moon Scottish Fiddle School up in the Santa Cruz mountains. During the day, folks learn tunes and elements of style and musicianship, at night the jams go on into the early AM sometimes even next to Alasdair and Natalie themselves.

I love their playing, individually and as a duo. Sensitive and dynamic, every note in its place with no wasted motion. Great arrangements as well.

I'm on the Arts Commission for Kent, Washington. Alasdair and Natalie played for us about two weeks ago, and I was lucky enough to be there. This is fairly representative of how well they play.
