Thanks for posting! Interesting to see how he was thinking back then - his work has developed a lot but the foundations seem to have stayed the same. And his taste in trousers has improved as well :-)

Isn't the reel Flora Mac Donald's pretty close? Same four parts, same basic structure. I often hear fiddlers play the two together, maybe it's a "set" standard in Cape Breton, I don't know.
