Alaska Cruise Crown Princess | Juneau on a Budget | Mendenhall Glacier Public Bus | Nugget Falls

Day 6 of our 11 Night Alaskan Cruise. We arrived in rainy Juneau . After Breakfast the weather turned for the better and the clouds vanished. We went to Deck 6 to get our numbers to go on the tenders. Once your number is called you head down to deck 4 and hop on the tender. It took about 10 minutes to reach Juneau. We headed to the Transit Station to catch a bus to Mendenhall Glacier. If you have lots of time in port this is the cheapest way to get there. 2 $ per adult and 1$ for youth under 17. You also need to hike to the entrance roughly 1.5 miles ( 2km) . Nugget falls was just amazing.

Bus Nr 3 or Nr 4. Every 30 minutes is a bus. Just ask where to get off the bus to Mendenhall. But usually 70% of the people getting off at the same bus stop to Mendenhall

Please don't. There have been times that locals couldn't get to work because the busses were overstuffed with budget tourists. People forget that Juneau only has 32,000 residents. We cannot support 1.7 million tourists per year when they overload our public infrastructure.
