I just completed my 1st Alaska Cruise on HollandAmerica's Ms Eurodam. It was amazing! We cruised with Ruby Princess for the entire week. Your cruise packing tips saved both myself and my roomies. Thank you.

Hi, we usually cruise Caribbean as well. I was never interested in Alaska until about a year ago. I'm really glad we went! So many say they've been several times. I don't see us going again. At least not on the same cruise. Maybe a land tour to see other things though. Thanks for watching!

Yes, we were so lucky to see about 4 whales that day. You never know what you'll get to see. The otters were SO cute!!!

New subscriber. Love your videos. We went on an Alaskan cruise with Holland America, August 2015. Great cruise line, maybe 1900 passengers or so. Left from Vancouver. It was beautiful. Our last cruise was on Viking River through the Danube River. A wonderful experience.

Crystal - Thanks for sharing this! What camera did you use? When we did Alaska - I didn't do video - but have a ton of pictures....we saw a ton of calving when we were in glacier bay...i love ruby and have been on her 2x....you make me want to go back badly to Alaska! I am not a travel agent - and am sure I will get back! We had a balcony on the front front of the ship...and loved every minute! We did the train in Skagway too and the whale watch in Juneau. Though w saw more whales from our balcony...We saw bears when we went to Mendenhall glacier...and moose when we were in Denali national park. We didn't do Victoria or Seattle - ours was Anchorage/Whittier to Vancouver.

Thank you for the video. We had originally booked an Alaskan cruise out of SF but ended up chickening out as neither of us is fond of a wet and cold climate. (We switched to a 14-day Mediterranean and just came back, in fact. It was hot there!). The nature in Alaska is breathtaking! Maybe we will have to brace ourselves and go on one in the next few years. We live near San Francisco, so we are planning to take another Mexican cruise this winter out of SF. Not having to fly anywhere Pre-cruise is always very appealing to us. BTW, what is your new camera? I'm in the market for a good movie/still cam with above-average zooming ability. :)

Looks like you are in Norway! Alaska and Norway are very much alike! If you love to cruise you should consider "Hurtigruta", its along the Norwegian coast and is an amazing trips! Rather expensive but everyone loves it :)

+Laura Ashley Smith That's hard to say since I can only speak for the few we took. Keep in mind I don't do helicopters or sea planes so that leaves out some more adventurous ones. We did Whale Watching in Juneau and it was great. Took the train in Skagway and enjoyed that even though it was a little long. We didn't do one in Ketchikan since we were only there til 12:30. It was a nice place to shop and walk around. Victoria is a wasted stop in our opinion when arriving so late. Avoid the City Tour. Didn't see much since it got dark not long after we were there.

Not to be boastful but my city is literally STUNNING! One of the most beautiful places in the world. I always feel bad for tourists because the tours show you NOTHING. Come into my town of Oak Bay and you will be blown away! Next time :) xo

From what we did see, yes, it's beautiful! We got to see a lot of the coastline and some beautiful neighborhoods. Because it was getting dark not long after we started, we didn't get to see the actual city sites. They looked pretty all lit up at night though.
