Glad I watched! We are cruising end of September 2023 on the Nieuw Amsterdam! Sailing from Anchorage to Vancouver. Went the northern route 6 years ago on Noordam. Hope we enjoy as much as the first one! Thanks

Excellent video! Great filming and editing really enjoyed this a lot. We are doing our first Alaska cruise with Holland America stopping at the same ports this summer. It was so nice to watch this it got us more excited and helped us decide on a few things. I went up for 14 on the Noordam in August this year. 7 days up to Whittier, then 7 Back to Vancouver. I've been on the Nieuw Amsterdam last November. & in 2017 I recognize that bridge. Went zip lining there! Beautiful spot!

Such great videos, thank you for sharing your trip. Question about the White Pass Railroad excursion. Did you take the early morning? I noticed the fog and wondered if you felt you missed anything on the trip. Would afternoon trip be the better option for those of us who haven’t gone yet??

Yes, we took the early morning train. That ended up being a bit disappointing because of the fog and we definitely missed out on a lot of the great views. If I remember right, the afternoon was a lot clearer than it was that morning. If I could do it over, I might try the afternoon train myself. The train was something I really looked forward to, so it was a little disappointing for sure. Alaska weather is just so unpredictable, so it’s hard to know for sure. I have read where some people just wait and see what the weather is like before they decide. If they decide to go, then they just buy the tickets at the train station. I don’t think they sell out very often.

Tracy arm excursion is booked out of Juneau? The railroad was not as scenic because of fog. I have been.

We were there July 17th -24th. Had a great time. We did run into some fog, rain, and cold weather, but Alaska is very unpredictable that way.
