Alaska Salmon Fishing In The POURING RAIN | OFF-GRID Cabin Life

Fishing in a RAINSTORM has never been more fun. KZbin star Aust (Homesteady) joins me for a day on the river chasing Alaskan salmon and rainbow trout. Then we head back to the cabin to fillet these beautiful fish and cook up one of the best salmon dishes you can possibly imagine. This is off-grid cabin life in the Last Frontier. Catch and COOK!

My favorite way to make salmon is butter, garlic, rosemary, a little brown sugar, balsamic vinegar, and some parsley!

I was taught to gut the rainbow trout, leave the head and skin and fins on, the put it in cornmeal and flour and grill in a pan or just wrap the whole fish without the guts with onions and lemons and wrap in foil and grill on the grill. After it is cooked, take the fins off and peal the meat off the skeleton. You will have the head and only the bones left. Very tasty

Never eaten cooked Salmon, In India 500 gms could cost about 2.5/3k. Only eaten it at subway sandwich

The last time I was to northern B.C., someone had shot a huge moose. He was gutting the moose near the water & throwing the scraps into the water. A Golden Eagle came down & grabbed some of the scraps. Good thing at that time i was using a good camera. I zoomed in on the golden eagle, it looked like he was flying right at me, he was maybe about 80 ft away.

Once I tried coho salmon. They gutted the fish, then stuffed it on the inside with like turkey stuffing & baked it
