You will be surprised to hear that in the FIVE years I was there, the coldest temperature I experienced was +14 degrees F. Cleveland gets colder than that every year! There is evidently a warm ocean current coming from Asia that keeps the temperature mild at ground level. Now up in the air a bit, it is colder. So we still got a lot of snow, but it was usually wet as it came down and melted soon. Of course, we got more wet snow soon after that, and it all started again. My Dad was from Cleveland.

@@JayEmpty Too cool. I was raised here and love it. The coldest I ever experienced here was in 1995. I was a commercial scuba diver at Sea World and in the winter of that year we had one day that hit 20 below and the next was -15 F. The next day at -9 we were back in the water. Only time ever we suspended outdoor diving there.
