You’re doing an awesome job. I would recommend adding blocking between the ceiling joists as the joists seemed to have quite a bit of movement in them from what I could see when you were lifting the ply on to the roof.

You continue to inspire and amaze me. Just seeing you on that roof, in the rain, busting your butt... makes me feel like a wuss, for procrastinating and whining about putting a roof on my 10x10 shed, because of a little bit of bad weather LOL. In my defense though, I'm getting old 😝... but that's no excuse! You Rock!!! 🎸🎶

You have such a good work ethic, I really admire you. Just a couple of suggestions. First, you should stagger the joints for added strength and also I hope you will add blocking to your roof rafters to give it more strength and increase rigidity.

Great job getting dried in.Oh my goodness I kept on wanting to reach in to my screen and help you out, also trying to tell you to turn that pipe around, all I can do from NZ. You did so well with no help, You worked it all out in the end, good job.

A couple things you need to do is put blocking between your rafters so they done twist and warp. Also when putting down your plywood you should off center them so the corners are in the middle of the next one. It will help support it better and give it more strength. I’m doing the same thing by myself too! Hugs and proud of you for taking it on - Texas. 😊

The plywood on the roof makes more of a solid job if it is staggered rather than seam to seam ! Just sayin that's the way it's usually installed.

At approx 12:45 where you're putting stovepipe together, the upper pipe ALWAYS slides around the lower pipe!! Point blank, period! Otherwise you WILL get smoke inside structure! BTW love you're progress!! For one person, ever with building experience, you are doing great!

In my cabin, I did as she so the creosote runs into the stove and not down outside of pipe. The smoke all pulls up the chimney since it is hot (heat rises).

Fabulous job getting dried in and heat to help dry things out! I'm glad you stayed safe with all that heights work! I agree with the others who say to stagger plywood (next time) and add cross pieces between the studs to prevent bowing and movement. I love your beautiful door and windows. 🎉

*Kia ora (hello) Wow no matter what, you stuck it out to get the fireplace finished after fixing up a few issues with it..... well done you 🙂 But re the roof..... do stagger the ply up on the roof and tape up the joints too..... maybe next summer you can redo it... but first just get thru your upcoming winter months with the snow & rainy season.. If ever in doubt about building something... do a G search... or better still.... look at videos online... so much info out there now... 🙂 kia kaha (stay strong) and keep on being safe ok 🙂nz*

Looking nice. Before you going any further, spend some time and Google. Most of the Americans forget to make a ventilated roof (and walls). Start to add the metal drip edge at the bottom of the roof ( best is under your membran). Try to add a 2x2 vertical cut so you get a wood looking as a triangle, this you add UNDER the waterproof membran you just install. You install them on the 2 short sides of the roof so no water/condensation water get contact with the panels on the sides that you add later on ( good ide to paint them before you put them up on all sides. Before install the metal roof you shall install some wood vertical so the water/condensation can ran off so no wood stop the water to go down. After that you install the wood horizontally and this is the one you screw your metal roof on. Now you have a roof that can breathe and the water can go out at the bottom. Condensation starts when cold and hot air meets and you do not want that in your walls/roof framing and insulation. Install the insulation and end with a plastic moisture membran on the inside and tejp all endings well.

Love the black trim. So pretty and modern looking . Great job. The term is used in the midwest also. You could cripple the rafters from the inside for extra roof joist strength. Snow and ice are incredible heavy. I think that might be standard building practice. Also remember pine burns super hot. Take care. 😊

You are awesome doing it by your self, you have come long way. Just a small comment, and probably it's too late already, but next time you layout flooring, walls or sheathing on a roof with plywood, you always lay them out like brick on a wall, so they will give more strength with winds and movements around, specially in Alaska where there's a lot of earth quakes going on. Never make a single line placement of plywood all lined up, there's a tendency of collapsing more easily than the other way (brick laying type). Good luck 👍 keep it up. Blessings.
