I was in Panama for a year, many years ago. During the rainy season it would rain like clockwork, 4 times/day. By the end of the rainy season, if you ventured off the pavement, you would sink in mud up to your thighs.

I would have loved to explore the country more, especially the mountains and the north coast. But at the same time, I was excited to get out of the heat, and I'm not a big fan of mud.

Hello Alex!! Very nice and Congrats for surviving the, "Bridge of the Americas". We had a police escort for our crossing!! We recently made this journey from Deadhorse to Panama and wow what an adventure. Besides Alaska, Mexico and Central America was the best!! Anyway... happy to have found your channel and we are catching up on your videos. Thank you for sharing! Happy cycling to you. ~Ron & Petra

Wow! Thank you! Your videos were definitely an inspiration for me as I planned this ride! Mexico and Central America were amazing, but I can't wait to get back into the remote mountain wilderness in Ecuador and Peru.

Is it spring in Costa Rica? Or does it rain that much all the time? Do you speak fluent Spanish?
@Crankingit4 ай бұрын
It's definitely the rainy season in Costa Rica, which makes it tough, but at least it's not as hot as the dry season.

The guy that didn’t let you camp probably saw you cranking it and got jealous!! Do you not have a waterproof tent? I would be paranoid to stay at a Red Cross in any country.
@Crankingit4 ай бұрын
I do have a rain fly for my tent, but when it's raining that hard, I much prefer to find a dry shelter.
