That bird you missed would been a perfect lunch outside . Better next time . PS why dont you remove the traps from the martens ? Regards from Sweden
@ChiroskeyOutdoors17 күн бұрын
@@thomasanderson-cs8kp If the marten is frozen then it’s usually very difficult to remove from body grip traps. If I force it out too much I can damage the fur. So I wait until they thaw out before removing the trap.

Hello from England, very interesting and I like your content. If you were just catching Martin, how many would you need a day to make ends meet? Us hunters here don't get much a kilo for venison and nothing for trapping.

Good video! Where can I get some of that marten lure?
@ChiroskeyOutdoorsАй бұрын
I order mine from here www.baitem907.com/store/p101/woodlandrascalmartenlure.html They have a bunch of other great lures also, but this woodland rascal is a long lasting, strong, sweet smell.

Question? Why do you keep your gloves on when baiting your sets? That's the "last" thing I want is "lure" scent on my gloves and then my traps. Not so important when trapping Martin, maybe?
@ChiroskeyOutdoorsАй бұрын
@@jon-jo5pn yes good question. It doesn’t matter so much with marten but I always use different gloves handling wolf gear. Wolverine are pretty keen too but I usually use my regular gloves when I handle those traps if I didn’t handle bait or lure with them.
