What a great video. I’ve done a lot of traveling in my 64 years. Never been on a cruise and never had any desire to go on one. Until now. I’ve been binging on your channel for a little over a month now and enjoying the vicarious journeys I most likely will never make. This one hit home. @@GreenerGrass Something i've personally noticed is that your videos seem a slight bit fast. I don't know if the two of you just talk faster than other people I watch but some of the scenes where you described the food or showed the menu I have to slow it down to .75 speed in order to see everything. I also noticed during the scene where you showed the room and the details of it a video speed closer to .8 or 80% speed was perfect for really hearing everything and understanding it. I love your videos and its great seeing how enthusiastic you are about your trips :) . Also I personally love seeing the food shown on videos like this so I would like to hear more about your thoughts on the food for example at 17:30 you mention the platter looked nice but didn't really talk about what parts of it you really enjoyed. Are there certain parts of the platter that either of you enjoy more? What items do they give on the platter? Food recommendations for big cruises are always great for those looking to go on a similar voyage.

Cruise ideas - I love the Canadian Maritime Provinces having visited PEI, NS, NB, and Newfoundland multiple times. I'm normally not a huge fan of cruises as the best vacations I've had involve wandering and open schedules, but the scenery and wildlife of that part of Canada would make a great trip. Love to see Jeb cover that part of Canada. Parents recently did a Rhine River cruise and came back raving about that. On this channel, I'd love to see Jeb do more railroad trips. There are so many scenic lines worldwide that it makes it worth watching!

This was a natural progression: from planes to liners and believe me, you picked one of the very best. Silversea has the reputation, not only for their ships, but their staff on shore handling bookings and travel arrangement are excellent. Hi guys, what a lovely surprise to see you having a slower speed trip and what a treat. My spouse and I were fortunate to do two cruises with the company: BA to Barbados along the Brazilian coast and their Antarctic cruise. I hope your video will really encourage others to take the plunge.....I doubt anyone would not love the journey, the food, the scenes and their wonderful staff. Another top story! Cheers

I recommend the transpacific route from japan to alaska when its repositiong in the spring time. You get to japan early to see all the beautiful cherry blossoms and leave from tokyo, going north to visit hokkaido which is magnificent. I loved that some of the ports in hokkaido were just average cities without tourist destinations, and while the week at sea was a little bit long, it was very unique to have it snowing at sea for us! Myself and the crew were all having a great time with the light snowfalls that happened on the sea days, and again in whittier it snowed quite magically during an outing to see the glaciers. Seeing alaska as one of the first ships into the area for the season was also wonderful, the weather was still crisp and the towns didn't seem worn out yet. I stayed on all the way down to vancouver again, and I would do this trip EVERY year if I could get the time off for a month!

I’m a bit biased since I worked for Royal Caribbean for 6 years. Pretty sure they didn’t own SilverSeas during that time. I’ve heard great things though about SilverSeas as a luxury cruise line. My favorite ports though were Istanbul, Haifa, Sydney, Wellington, Lisbon, and Southampton. There were certainly more ports that I absolutely loved but that’d be a very large comment on here :)

I was on NCL Jewel's first trip to Alaska for 2024 in April. I got to ride on the first rail passenger trip of the season. This was my second trip to Alaska but with the snow in the mountains and lack of other ships at the port, to me that was luxury. I am a solo passenger so have to pay basically the fare for 2. I paid $1,900 for my 7 day trip from Seward to Vancouver including 2 speciality dinners and excursions in all ports, including 3 in Juneau and 2 in Icy Strait Point and one in each of the other ports. The ship you were on reminds me of the Viking Ocean ship, but you had more luxury from the staff. I am not into luxury and since I was first on the ship from Bangkok to Tokyo and then went home for a month, I brought some small gifts (mostly cruising ducks) back for my favorite crew members when I returned to go from Tokyo to Vancouver. Since you seem to like luxury a lot, you might not be happy with the normal cruise ships. I mostly go for the itinerary so I enjoy the shore excursions. I tend to go on back-to-back trips to reduce the per trip cost for getting to the ship which lets me go on more cruises.
