"Premium economy" is the wrong labeling for Delta. That is actually Delta Premium Select and you get a seat comparable to First Class experience (wide seats, headrest/footrest, extra recline and legroom) so this wording on the video is misleading imo

I used to take Amtrak from Detroit to Chicago and back quite a bit when my sister lived in Naperville. Detroit to Chicago is less than an hour by plane, but by the time you factor in the airport process it's 3 hours. I didn't really mind driving (approx 5+ hours) but my husband didn't like me doing that drive alone. I loved taking the train. It usually took 7-8 hrs depending on how much waiting for the tracks we had to do. One time it took over 12 hours cuz the train hit a deer which caused damage to the brakes. They couldn't get the part to do the repair so they had to send buses to pick us up for the last 2½ hrs of the trip. The train employees had to leave cuz of the rules governing how long they could work. So all of the passengers were waiting over an hour for the buses to arrive, and we had to wait outside of a small train station cuz the station had to close. 😂 There were several angry people. I had a book, magazines, a laptop, etc to keep me occupied so I didn't care at all. My husband didn't like taking the train cuz the trip would take so long. So when we went together we either flew or drove. For those that don't know, Amtrak doesn't own the tracks so they have to yield to the freight train traffic. If you're in a hurry or have a specific time you need to be at your destination then taking a Amtrak is not for you. But for a scenic and relaxing trip it's great!

I thought Love Field in Dallas was the airport in Dallas. For some reason, being from Fort Worth, I was under the impression that D/FW stood for Dallas / FORT WORTH. After all, we do own 1/2 of the airport. Truth being Dallas County (not the City of Dallas) owns only a small strip on the east side of the airport. You look like an intelligent enough guy to remember this. Just a friendly reminder to include Fort Worth.

Good video and excellent information. Next time, please elaborate on safety including how and if doors are locked in rommettes and private cars when you are ready for bed or when you go to the cafe car. Also, show the app that was used to track the arrival and departure of the train especially if you are out of the station (maybe at a brewery).
