Made it home....now Jared and I get to play "parents" for a few days while we have my niece and nephew haha! And opening mail from you!

My great grandparents homesteaded here in the 1940s and now it's a thriving little town of nearly 200 people year around. I was born and raised in remote Alaska and met my husband in 2020 when he came to work for my parents resort. We got married in the spring of 2023 and love sharing our life with you all.

This is the first time I ever saw you tired Salina. Children can definitely wear us out. So nice they’re such good children. When we were living in Idaho in a cabin, we forgot to lock the front door from the inside. Our kids were those kids age. We were asleep and didn’t hear them go outside. We lost our children in the snow for a while. Almost the worst day of our life. We found them safe and not frozen. Make sure your door is locked lol.

I would like to know how you ended up having a house in your town. Was there already a house available when you were ready to move? Did you have to buy it? Or does your family build houses for any of you or your siblings who choose to stay?

I live in company housing. It is a very old, somewhat junk house that was going to be torn down until Jared and I needed a place to stay. We are trying to buy land and build our own home
