Salina & Jared I love watching your videos. I have a special place in my heart for Alaska. I lived in Adak , AK before the military was decommissioned and I loved it. It was the furthest I had ever been from home , I was so young and didnt know a soul but Alaska has such beauty . Watching your vids brings me so much joy !

One of my happy childhood memories was learning how to make my mom’s banana bread and the magic of mashing bananas into a liquidy paste, and all the aromas of butter and sugar. She would add toasted California walnuts into the batter. Having it toasted the next day with some butter was also amazing. It’s wild to see you ice skating in the wild!! It looks so much fun!

Another idea would be a challenge of making 200 or 300 flowers of different colors for your blanket and then you would also not only have content but have some worked ahead on days you don’t feel like working on it. Plus any extra flowers at the end of the year can be made into pillow covers to match your beautiful blanket.

Are you using the little tool that comes with the interchangeable needles? It looks like a little pin with a loop at the end. Using that really helps keep the needle and cable joined together. When I first got my set I didn’t know about the little tool and my needles became unscrewed all the time. And sometimes you also just get a dud set.

Make sure you order metal ones because you are in the north. Not plastic ones. The plastic ones are known to break due too the cold.
