Over a century ago people used birch bark like we use post cards. They were sent through the mail according to one source I read. I tried it once, but it must have been chewed up by a sorting machine, or lost, or crumbled. It never arrived at its destination. People did what they had to do with the tools at hand. A much more peaceful time.

Oooo that looks so fun!!! I know what you mean about sitting still sometimes. I was in Montana as a child, and sometimes nature just takes your breath away. Once, I walked up the valley behind the house, looked up at the pines in the snowy sky, and actually heard them whispering! Brooke thank you for allowing me to live the perfect day through you in the mountains covered in forest. I could almost smell the clean air sprinkled with pine. I watched while you built this adorable A frame cabin, it is one of my favorites. My husband and I own a cabin in the mountains of TN. It was secluded until about 6 months ago when a developer came in and built some rental cabins right up on our borderline. I was so sad until I decided to let God take over.
